The Baba Yaga family ("
Structure and conduct[]
The crime family is led by Baba Yaga, usually referred to as "mom" by her children. The actual blood relation between each family member is unknown, with Jacqueline being the only member known to have a claim of actual relation to the family's original bloodline.[1] Each family member usually carries a particular weapon differing from other members, usually a melee weapon rather than a projectile weapon; most family members have sadistic personalities. Because of the family's gleeful callousness for human life, they have been compared to the serial murderers Hänsel and Gretel.[2] Family members are forbidden from killing each other.[3] For new family members to be initiated, the new member must go through a test that usually involves them murdering people to pass. New members are ultimately only allowed into the family upon Baba Yaga's approval.[4]
Gore Gore Girl history[]
For generations, the crime family had terrorized rural America with their various murders. Their initial base was 70 acres of land where they also buried the corpses of their victims, and they had a hut which stood on two legs. When a corpse was discovered on the family's property by an outsider, the family's crimes were exposed, displacing them and forcing them to leave the United States. Because of the distinctive hut with skinny legs, tabloid newspapers referred to the house on the corpse-filled property as "Baba Yaga's hut." Once settling in Roanapur, the family used an abandoned resort as their base of operations, setting up various security cameras throughout. Knowing about the city's powerful crime syndicates, the Baba Yaga family chooses not to interfere in the underworld's affairs.[3] Likewise, Roanapur's crime syndicates know about the group's presence as well as their policy of non-interference.[2] According to the older brother, Baba Yaga is possibly over 200 years old, and in Roanapur, Baba Yaga had shut herself away and began to only allow Jessica to speak with her.[4]
Volume 3[]
While in Roanapur, the glasses-wearing son had learned about Sawyer the Cleaner and had become infatuated with her, taking dozens of pictures of her and stalking her, even creating a mural of the photographs. Wanting Sawyer to be his wife, the older brother asked his family about allowing her to be his bride, which his mother approved if she followed his test. To lure the cleaner, the older brother set up a trap which he set up, where he pretended to be a cleaner and accompanied her on a job at the abandoned resort. There, one of the part-time cleaners had to use the restroom and left to find one, but he was killed with a knife in his heart. Sawyer and the cleaners were skeptical about the location and were surprised to discover the dead part-timer. As they walked in the hallway, the disguised older brother, wearing a half-mask, informed them that the hotel building was a famous haunted spot that was originally a resort facility, but a large number of corpses who were missing guests were found in the basement. Adding that the suspect, the building manager, had not been caught yet, he stated that there were many hidden rooms throughout.
On edge, the bandana cleaner retorted him that he did not want to hear about such scary rumors, and the bald glasses cleaner commented that if such rumors were true, then they were stuck inside. When the older brother remarked that it was probably the building manager who hired them, the bandana cleaner furiously pulled out his pistol and yelled to the supposed murderer that he would kill them first. Sawyer herself grinned and pulled out her chainsaw in agreement, and they headed to the exit. Heading to the stairs, the older brother and the cleaners went to the fire door only to see it shut down with the words "DED END" painted on it, shocking everyone since it was not closed when they arrived. Sawyer tried to cut the door open to no avail, but behind them the cleaners heard another chainsaw deep in the hallway. Standing in the dark, a tall, muscular figure in a dress with long blond hair—who was actually the older brother's big brother—stood alone, and the bandana man was confused if the person was a woman or not.
The big brother charged at them, so the men prepared their pistols but were interrupted by part of the wall opening violently, blocking their view. As the mustached cleaner peered behind the wall-door, the large brother giddily swiped his chainsaw downward, cutting the man in half. Quickly acting, Sawyer swung her chainsaw at them, but the big brother blocked her with his even bigger chainsaw and pushed her to the ground. Terrified, the bandana cleaner and the older brother dragged Sawyer to safety as the figure powered up their chainsaw. Although the cleaners managed to shut the door just in time while Sawyer woke up in surprise, the figure laughed and tried to break in.
Looking behind him, the bandana cleaner was surprised to see a wall collage of dozens of photos of Sawyer, and as he looked in surprise, the older brother stabbed him in the back. On the ground, the cleaner cursed the older brother with his dying breaths as the latter coldly remarked that Sawyer was just a hobby. Opening the door, he let in the large man, thanking his big brother for his help. Turning to Sawyer, the older brother professed that he had been watching her all along, adding that his "mother" would arrive soon. Saying that she would probably be gladly accepted into his family, he creepily commented that he and Sawyer could be a good couple[5].
Elsewhere in a pitch-black room, Jessica spoke to her mother, asking her how she liked the town Roanapur. Rocking on a rocking chair, Baba Yaga commented that the city was truly a place of hard-working people proud of their work, be they merchants or craftsmen, saying that was reason enough not to interfere in their affairs if one wanted to stay alive in Roanapur. Saying that getting paid to kill people in order to survive was disgusting, the mother remarked that they needed to remain true to their family's tradition, rhetorically asking Jessica if she knew that. When Jessica agreed with her mother, the elderly woman told her that she was a good girl, reflecting that there were many children those days who did not know what they were doing. In the dark, Baba Yaga's malicious smile gleamed as she ordered Jessica to find the bride candidate that her "idiot son" had found.
Waking up later, Sawyer sat upward and heard the older brother greet her on a loudspeaker. Asking her if she liked his invitation, he told her that he had been thinking about how to invite her. In addition, he told her that he wanted to take her hand in marriage, but he clarified that he had to get his mother's permission to welcome Sawyer into his "family." Informing Sawyer that she was on the top floor of an abandoned hotel, he elaborated that she would have to leave the room to see his mother, who was in a hidden basement in the hotel, and arrive there alive in order to be welcomed into the family. Stating that directions would be provided, he called for Jessica to go greet Sawyer. The cheerful blonde-haired woman entered the room and introduced herself. Over the loudspeaker, the older brother said that Jessica was his third youngest sister, claiming that she was dumb but could at least provide directions to Sawyer.
Sticking her tongue at the camera, Jessica rebuffed his comment and claimed that she could guide Sawyer. After Jessica proclaimed that he would be left speechless, the older brother eerily bid goodbye and told Sawyer that he loved her, wishing her good luck. Telling Sawyer to follow her, Jessica cheerfully stated that they would find their mother and older brother. Entering a hallway, Jessica told Sawyer that a trap was set for them, and she spoke about her family's history and subsequent arrival in Roanapur. Walking to a corner, Sawyer suddenly grabbed Jessica's collar and dragged her back as the latter's face barely dodged the swing of a knife. Peering from the corner, a shaggy dark-haired man appeared and laughed, and the calm but confused Jessica wondered who he was, thinking that he must be a local procurement and not her original family.
As the man maniacally laughed and Sawyer continued dragging Jessica, the latter gave him the evil eye and pointed her finger, asking him if he knew who she was. Sawyer again pulled her away from being stabbed, gaining Jessica's thanks. Crossing her arms scornfully, Jessica wondered if the man was an outsider, knowing that murder within her family was forbidden and against their rules, but using an outsider was a loophole. Seeing that Jessica was not fazed by the fanatical murderer, Sawyer sweated and quickly rummaged through her apron for any tools.
As the man swung his knife, Sawyer pulled out her surgical scissors and violently cut the man's left jugular, felling him. Witnessing the act in awe, Jessica happily applauded her, but her happiness was quickly put down when she saw several people emerge from the various doors in the hallway, holding onto Sawyer's shoulder out of anxiety. Hearing a chainsaw, the female cleaner turned around and saw a large, plaid-shirt man wield a chainsaw. Although Jessica advised that they run away, she saw Sawyer's blank face turn into a wide, devilish grin. Seeing that she wanted the man's weapon, Jessica clapped her hands together in encouragement.[3]
Immediately, Sawyer managed to stab him and take the chainsaw for herself. Seeing the other enemies emerge from the hallway, Jessica smiled as Sawyer tilted her head back in glee. The various figures, dressed in various Halloween-like masks and gear, charged at Sawyer, who gleefully killed the first set of attackers, even managing to thrust her chainsaw at a man behind her without looking. As more clown, skeleton, and other spooky-dressed men appeared, Jessica watched as the unintimidated and smiling Sawyer pushed her chainsaw through the men and kicked their bodies to the ground. Finishing her slaughter as Jessica stood by, Sawyer turned back her head to reveal a grin, with Jessica clapping in approval. In the building's basement, the older brother and his big brother watched Sawyer and Jessica through several monitors connected to security cameras in the building.
The big brother commented that the battle was one-sided, and his glasses-wearing brother replied that they did hire amateurs after all and that the "stage" was different with Sawyer, who had murdered many people at work. The big brother asked the older brother if he was able to control the woman. In response, the older brother turned his head and laughed, confidently asserting that all women except Sawyer would fail his full training course. When the big brother asked if their "mother" liked it, the older brother laughed again and asked his big brother if he believed her, confusing the big brother. The older brother then talked about how their "mother" was possibly over 200 years old if she was truly alive and how no one in their family had seen their mother since she shut herself away. As they watched Jessica on the monitors with the older brother saying that only their sister had permission to meet their mother, Jessica suddenly looked directly at the camera. The cameras then immediately stopped and only showed static, surprising both men.
Behind them, they heard noise, and the door burst open as Sawyer and the amateur murderers busted through. As the big brother prepared his chainsaw, the older brother demanded an explanation. The big brother once again blocked Sawyer's chainsaw with his own chainsaw while the other murderers also charged at him, and the older brother was confronted by a smiling Jessica, who said that she liked Sawyer, calmly taunting him. Panicking, the glasses-wearing brother berated her for agitating the murderers and charged at her with a knife, but she casually swung a small wire around his neck, making blood gush from his neck veins. As he knelt and gasped for air, Jessica told him that she had injured his vital points, mockingly telling him that Sawyer would kill him last. Shocked, the older brother watched as the cleaner gleefully thrust her chainsaw into the big brother's neck, killing him.
Later after the whole battle and murders, the blood-covered Sawyer left the abandoned building as Jessica waved goodbye. In a pitch-black room, Jessica sat on the floor, leaning next to her mother who continued sitting in a rocking chair. Hearing her daughter admit that she wanted to be friends with someone new, Baba Yaga remarked that those were rare words to hear from Jessica and advised her to bring them over sometime since she wanted to see her "friend" as well. Lighting up her face, Jessica agreed and smiled.[4]
Volume 4[]
Talking to Baba Yaga, Jessica told her that she was going out for a while. In response, her mother asked if the "child" whom Jessica brought yesterday was all right, and the young woman coldly replied that they did not even make for a good pet. Looking at her bloodied hammer, Jessica admitted that she did not expect her "friend" to cry so awkwardly. After talking with her mother, she left the abandoned resort and maliciously smiled, joking to herself that she almost forgot to buy a souvenir. Going to the Roanapur Public Cemetery, Jessica found Sawyer, Bunny the Undertaker, and The Undertaker No. 2 having a tea party, and she politely interrupted that she had brought some sweets.
Reflexively swinging her shovel behind her, Bunny missed hitting Jessica, whose face lit up upon seeing Bunny's mask. Suddenly hugging Bunny tightly, Jessica introduced herself and asked Bunny her name. Jessica asked Bunny if she wanted to be her pet, causing Bunny to shove her away and ask Sawyer if she knew Jessica. When Sawyer tilted her head as a mixed signal, Jessica smiled and chimed that friends were friends. Bunny looked at Sawyer again for approval, but the latter tilted her head again in ambiguity. Jessica asked to join the party, but Bunny refused, so Jessica showed her sweets and innocently stated that it was a shame that such treats would go to waste. Bunny's jaw dropped in awe, and likewise No. 2 wondered if there was a patisserie in Roanapur. Bunny sweated and hesitated, saying that the tea party was originally supposed to be only her and Sawyer, but she dropped her head on the table and told Jessica that she was welcome to serve herself.
Accordingly, Jessica smiled and excused herself, and No. 2 offered her some tea. Thanking No. 2, Jessica suddenly but calmly jabbed a syringe into No. 2's right arm. Baffled for a moment, No. 2 sweated and wondered what just happened, but the three women casually began eating Jessica's delicious sweets and ignored her. Asking again, the panicked No. 2 asked Jessica what she injected her with, asking if it was a joke. Not noticing No. 2's concern, Bunny requested No. 2 to pour her another cup of tea, but the shocked No. 2 remarked that she thought they were all family. Conversing with the others, Bunny remembered that she buried a poisoned corpse the other day that created a weird smell. Jessica asked if it could be a chemical smell, recommending that she apply a good freshener next time, with Bunny appreciating her insight. The confused No. 2 asked about the topic, and Bunny told her to eat soon since the food would go bad.
As No. 2 pleaded with Bunny to hear her out, Jessica turned her head and smilingly informed No. 2 that she had 2 hours left before she died, scaring No. 2. Jessica told her that if she found the antidote, it would make the poison harmless in an hour. Although No. 2 was slightly relieved, Jessica went back to ignoring her, happily complimenting the lemon-flavored cheesecake. As Sawyer continued eating her food, Jessica asked Sawyer and Bunny if they wanted to come to her abandoned hotel, but Bunny replied that she could not leave the graveyard. Curious, Jessica asked to at least see Bunny's face before leaving, but Bunny turned her head away and responded that she would have to kill anyone around her who saw her face. Piqued even more, Jessica got up and casually removed Bunny's mask, causing her to grab her shovel. Sawyer then stood in front of Bunny with her arms extended out as a barrier to block the killer.
Jessica asked her if she was mocking her, but Bunny only coldly replied that she had not seen her face yet and would let her live if she returned her mask immediately. Trying to provoke Bunny, Jessica chimed that they should play a game, gaining Sawyer's glare. Bunny agreed to the "game," so Jessica accordingly pulled out three syringes and said that one was an antidote while the other two were instant-killing poisons. If they chose the one that made No. 2 survive, Jessica would return her bunny mask. Sweating anxiously and trying to figure out what she should do, No. 2 then slowly and nervously reached for a syringe, but Sawyer had already grabbed one and stuck the needle into her arm, making No. 2 scream in agony. Because No. 2 lived, Jessica returned the mask to Bunny and happily bid goodbye to the three women, saying that they should drink tea again sometime.[6]
Later when Sawyer and her friends got ambushed at the cemetery by two groups of men looking for a treasure box and fought off one group, one survivor pointed his gun at Sawyer's head, but his head was immediately decapitated by Jessica, who showed up out of the blue with her garrote wire. She chimed in to everyone that she wanted a cup of tea, commenting that she wanted to join the big party. Flashing a vicious smile, Jessica remarked that the real hell would begin, shocking Choptop and No. 2 but not fazing Sawyer and Bunny. Preparing to kill, Sawyer held up her chainsaw while Jessica held up a knife. Choptop commented that they should run away since they had already killed enough men from one group, but the two women cut up a nearby gunman.
Immediately after, Jessica curiously asked Sawyer if she knew the men, but Sawyer only tilted her head in uncertainty. Jessica stood by as Sawyer's group found out about the ring case and the two elderly women who showed up demanded the ring case at gunpoint. After Balalaika arrived and told the two elders about how there was no ring from the beginning, the three women left while Balalaika casually told Sawyer's group that she would cover their bill to clean up and bury the corpses from the two-sided massacre. As Jessica, Sawyer and Bunny stood in bafflement, the scared Choptop asked the women if his fee would be covered too.[7]
Volume 5[]
Knowing that Jacqueline was a member of the crime family as well as knowing about their non-interference, Picton decided to have his film crew hunt down the young girl so that they could produce a child snuff film. Two crew members chased down Jacqueline, who very quickly became cornered in an alleyway. The large man taunted the girl while the cameraman maliciously remarked that she was the best they had since both she and the video would sell at a high price. As the cameraman told the large man not to hurt Jacqueline if possible, the large man grinned and told the girl that he would have a good time with her. After the large man ordered Jacqueline to cry in a loud voice, he yelled "action" and charges at her. Immediately, she unwrapped her long item, a katana, and the large man was heard screaming, catching the attention of two nearby men but not concerning them. Likewise, Sawyer turned her head toward the scream's direction to see the young girl running toward her. The large man, with his left arm severed, angrily ran toward the girl while his cameraman kept recording, laughing at the unexpected turn of events.
Sawyer stood back nonchalantly as she watched the girl turn around and thrust her katana into the man's chest. As the man fell onto his back, Jacqueline jumped on top of him and performed a downward swing and several stabs, grossing out the two bystanders whereas Sawyer watched with a mellow expression. Coming across the scene, Picton and Choptop saw out of their van's front window the young girl chasing the fleeing cameraman, who was quickly brought down by a stab to his left ankle. The confused Choptop asked if the cameraman was one of the hunters, but Picton ignored his question and angrily prepared his pistol. As Jacqueline stabbed the cameraman's neck, she saw Picton leaning out the window with his gun in the corner of her vision, so she quickly lifted the cameraman's body as a shield against two bullets, squinting and then quickly fleeing behind a nearby building corner.
Grabbing his car phone, Picton radioed someone to bring two to three people over, telling them to come over immediately and not let the kid escape. Jacqueline ran into the alleyway and at the end came across Sawyer, whose calm eyes locked with the girl's scared gaze. Crying, Jacqueline ran into Sawyer's chest and called her "sister," confusing the latter. As Picton continued his pursuit, he spotted the girl with her katana surrounded by three men, seeing that the crew already found her. Stepping out of the car, Picton berated his men for not bringing a camera, and he noticed Jacqueline swinging her katana. Commenting that she had high physical ability but did not know how to properly use the samurai sword, he pointed his pistol at her and asked her if she was truly a kid. Instantly, the girl vanished in the blink of an eye, scaring him.
Appearing suddenly below him, Jacqueline lunged and swung her sword before Picton could fire a bullet, cutting off his right hand. As Picton began to writhe in agony on his stomach, the girl calmly spun and sheathed her sword and was suddenly grabbed by her hood by Sawyer, who dragged the girl with her. As the driver yelled to them that he would not forget the incident, Choptop peered from behind a corner and smiled, as he had recorded the encounter with a video camera. At the Roanapur Public Cemetery, Jessica was having tea with Bunny the Undertaker when the former saw and recognized the surprised Jacqueline with the mellow Sawyer. Jacqueline's wide eyes squinted since she could not see, confusing Jessica and making her ask Jacqueline if she had forgotten her glasses again. Her expression changing, Jacqueline let go of Sawyer's sleeve and ran into Jessica, who smiled and asked her if they could relax somewhere else.[2]
To comfort the young girl, The Undertaker No. 2 offered Jacqueline, who donned some glasses, a glass of soda gembira, telling the young girl that it was an Indonesian drink with condensed milk and syrup that required gradual mixing. Trying the drink, Jacqueline's eyes widened, and she told No. 2 that it was sweet and delicious. Trying to comfort Jacqueline more, No. 2 asked her if she was still staying in the hotel that her sister Jessica mentioned and also asked her if she was eating properly. No. 2 expressed her ambivalence about Jacqueline belonging to a family of murderers, but Jessica drank tea while nonchalantly responding that many things were true but Jacqueline was talented and had a legitimate connection close to the family's original bloodline. Thinking gloomily, No. 2 commented that one might want to live a different life depending on their environment, confessing that she ran away from her own family.
As nighttime set in, Jacqueline slouched her head in sleepiness, and No. 2 asked if they should go home soon. Jessica happily looked at Jacqueline and wondered if they would let her stay the night, and Jacqueline slouched her head on the coffin, asking if she could borrow it as a resting place. To the women's shock, a black van suddenly barged through the cemetery, knocking over several gravestones and swerving to stop right near the women. As they prepared their weapons, out the van's backdoor was tossed a coffin with a cross symbol. A mist formed as the lid opened, and a tall, skinny figure wearing a top hat and large black cloak also covering most of his face emerged. Introducing himself, the man said his name was "Nosferatu" Martin. Pulling out a Beretta 93R machine pistol, Nosferatu began rapidly firing on them, causing No. 2 to tackle and shield Jacqueline from cover while the other three women barely dodged the bullets and took cover behind gravestones.
Jessica fired back with her pistol, but the bullets did not go through him. Immediately reloading his firearm, he fired again at Jessica as she hurriedly retook cover. Wondering if he was bulletproof, Jessica remarked to herself that she was not good with guns and also wondered if Sawyer and Bunny had not taken notice. As bullets rained onto her gravestone cover, Jessica calmly yelled to Sawyer to run away, but to her surprise both Sawyer and Bunny began to charge at Nosferatu. Seeing that the tall figure was pointing his gun at the charging women, Jessica used suppressive fire while lamenting that she should have killed him earlier. Jessica's bullet hit near his heart as he suddenly jolted his arms upward reacting to it, making her wonder if she hit him. Unfortunately, Nosferatu dispelled a knockout gas which brought Sawyer and Bunny to their knees and onto the ground.
Covering her mouth with a handkerchief, Jessica noticed that the mist was nonlethal but nonetheless commented that she did not like inhaling dirty things, adding that she would take her leave. As Jessica fled, No. 2 carried the sleeping Jacqueline, but she saw that she had been spotted by Nosferatu, who saw Jacqueline and deduced her as his target. Consequently, the man quickly blocked their path and towered over them. As No. 2 crouched and froze in great fear, Jacqueline woke up, seeing the figure and immediately thrusting her katana upwards. Despite her excellent speed, Nosferatu caught the blade with his pistol's angled foregrip, telling himself that it was a pity that he had to give Jacqueline to the "orc."[1]
The next day, the captured Jacqueline was brought alive to Picton's studio with her katana confiscated. Sitting in a wheelchair with a hook in place of his right hand, Picton looked at Jacqueline, who sat upright on the floor with her hands tied. Briefly introducing himself, Picton added that his main job was to buy and sell people but also produced movies as a hobby. Speaking about his line of work, Picton remarked that he had seen people who quit being human, some of whom were born that way, including himself. As he told the girl that he had several such humans, several men wearing pig heads emerged from several doors surrounding Jacqueline, also bringing three large, chained boars. Sarcastically telling the girl not to worry since he would not kill her, Picton stated that he knew excellent doctors and would keep her on the verge of dying, evilly smiling and informing Jacqueline that she would be the main character in a long-form video series. Noticing a man to her right creepily smiling and holding a video camera toward her and the boars, Jacqueline's eyes widened in fear as one boar grunted and stood inches from her face.
Elsewhere at a different location, Nosferatu Martin had captured No. 2 and prepared to sink his fangs into the nervous No. 2's neck. Before he could do so, Jessica suddenly appeared behind him with a hammer and a wooden stake, trying but failing to pierce Martin's head, but he vanished behind her. Kneeling defensively and surprised that he did not realize her presence, he asked her how long she had been there. Smiling, Jessica remarked that she was disappointed since she wanted to see if the hammer and stake would work. Martin clarified that such a trick worked on every person, to which Jessica responded that she had also prepared garlic and crosses. Pulling out a small capsule of liquid, Jessica stated that she had "holy water" that would fill the room with gas quickly if she threw it onto the ground, adding that it was a neurotoxin that unlike Nosferatu's gas would kill instantly.
When Martin reminded her that she would die too if she used the poison, Jessica only smiled and agreed in indifference. Laughing heartily in response, the supposed vampire stated that he would leave for now and vanished into a shadow, disappointing Jessica since she thought she would have fun with him. Remarking that her timing was helpful, No. 2 rhetorically commented that Jessica likely did not come for her. Smiling, Jessica handed over the burlap sack mask back to No 2., who put it on and told Jessica to go find Jacqueline. Having a curious expression, Jessica asked if Jacqueline was truly still alive. At the studio, Picton complimented how the keepers could tame the ferocious pigs as he watched them surround Jacqueline. Claiming that the reason for the keepers' skill was darkness, he elaborated that those who peered into the darkness that was too deep would be swallowed by said darkness, comparing their ability to a psychic ability.
Taunting the girl by reminding her that she did not have her samurai sword, the hook-handed man ordered one of the men to untie her to see how she fought back against the boars, and the cameraman's whole body began to shake involuntarily. When Jacqueline removed her glasses and stared at one of the pig-headed men, he began to shake uncontrollably as well. Confused, Picton asked them what was wrong, and Jacqueline widened her glare toward her captors, forcing them by hypnosis via eye contact to bow their entire bodies down to her, scaring Picton. Crying and sweating, Picton realized what had happened, wondering how the child got the same ability to control the darkness that he spoke of.
Controlling both the men and the boars with her mind, Jacqueline moved her eyes towards Picton and pointed at him, silently ordering her new minions to kill him. Now completely terrified, he pleaded with Jacqueline to stop her attack, asking her if she knew whom she was messing with. Consequently, the three large boars walked to the screaming Picton and began to devour him. After Picton was eaten with only his hook remaining, Jessica arrived at the same time and reunited with the relieved Jacqueline, who ran into Jessica and tightly embraced her. Admitting that she was worried, Jessica smiled and asked her younger sister if she had lost her glasses again.[8]
Volume 7[]
Around the time that a murderer couple was killing and dismembering people throughout town, Jessica and Jacqueline visited Sawyer and her friends at the Roanapur Public Cemetery. Hearing about the news, Jessica admitted that she had not heard anything about it, hoping that the murderers were not members of her family because she viewed the murders as poor work. When Bunny was abducted at the cemetery by the elderly male murderer, Jessica accompanied Sawyer and No. 2 to the murderer's house to rescue her, revealing that the couple was not a member of the Baba Yaga family.[9]
Volume 8[]
On Christmas Eve, Jessica and Jacqueline helped Bunny and No. 2 set up a Christmas party at the cemetery, with Jacqueline admitting that she had never celebrated the holiday before. At midnight when cocaine flakes began to fall from the sky due to an explosion, Jessica believed it was snow and a Christmas miracle, saying she was ecstatic to see snow because she only saw some once back in Texas in the United States, indicating that she was in the state at some point.[10] Later, Jessica agreed to help Sawyer take revenge on a gangster who almost killed the latter, disguising themselves as bachelor party entertainers to get close to the gangster and his brother.[11]
Volume 9[]
To be determined.[12]
Trivia[]
- Jessica is the only family member known to have (secretly) violated the family's policy forbidding the killing of siblings. She is also the only family member shown to use a firearm (alongside her other weapons).
