Not to be confused with Fritz.

Blitz Stanford (ブリッツ・スタンフォード Burittsu Sutanfōdo), alternatively called Fritz Stanford in the English dub, was a member of the Aryan Socialist Union, a United States-based neo-Nazi organization. He accompanied the ASU's leader Rachmann on a salvage operation not far from Jakarta.

Appearance and personality[]

Stanford was a tall, large-framed individual with blonde hair and pale skin. He wore a light-tan ASU uniform and cap, and he was armed with a customized Luger pistol. Blitz was an avowed neo-Nazi—blindly obedient to his leader and fanatical in his beliefs of white supremacy.

History[]

Das Wieder Erstehen Des Adlers[]

The ASU's objective to gain financial backing was to salvage a painting from a minor German artist, "The Twelve Knights Led by Brunhilda," from the sunken wreck of the German submarine U-234. However, the group had to fight Revy and Rock for the painting (the Lagoon Company was also assigned to find the painting from the same person who hired the ASU—the former SS officer Alfred).

When the ASU's crew spotted the Black Lagoon near the salvage site, Blitz reported the boat's sighting to Rachmann, who ordered him to tell the other neo-Nazis to fire TOW missiles at the boat.[1] Eventually, Kruppen Feller's diving team retrieved the painting from the U-boat, though Feller warned Rachmann about the pirates coming up. Accordingly, Stanford warned the other neo-Nazis that the pirates were ascending to the ocean surface, prompting one of the neo-Nazis to prepare a machine gun. Revy and Rock were forced to submerge and pretended to be dead, so the group concluded their salvage mission.[2] Later that same night, Stanford had asked Rachmann about the mysterious Alfred's background, to which Rachmann answered that he was the key to the ASU's growth. When Revy and Dutch boarded the White Heather and began killing the ASU's membership during their drunken celebration, Rachmann encouraged Stanford to confront the raiders. Smiling, Stanford cocked his customized pistol and exited Rachmann's office.

Soon, Blitz encountered Revy after she ran out of ammunition for her pistols. He then introduced himself to her and brashly began bragging about how weak she was compared to him. Blitz showed her his pistol—a customized, gold-plated gun which he called the "Eisenreich Luger Special," which he claimed that someone like Revy could not even lift. During his speech, Revy did not listen to him and nonchalantly reloaded her guns with new clips. As Stanford proudly asked her if she was scared, she was unconcerned and shot him in the chest. On the ground, the wounded neo-Nazi called her a coward, but Revy merely advised him that if a person could hit their target, then any gun would do the trick. With that, she smiled and shot Stanford in the head, killing the arrogant neo-Nazi.[3]
