Summary[]

As Hänsel and Gretel sing a nursery rhyme, Moretti and other Italians enter their room to see them casually mutilating Corporal Menshov's corpse full of nails, disgusting them. Berating the twins for playing with the corpse, Moretti sternly reminds them that they were supposed to only kill Balalaika and not other Hotel Moscow members, angrily telling them that they will leave Roanapur for good once they finish the job. Bikey continues to vomit after seeing the horrid sight, and the men leave while complaining about having to keep watch of the twins and needing to clean up the corpse. In their room, the two children talk to each other about how they want to continue "playing" and decide that they will also "play" with the Italians. At the Lagoon Company office, Dutch returns and informs the curious Revy that Balalaika is thinking about mobilizing the Vysotniki, surprising her. Rock then learns from him, Benny and Revy about Balalaika's ex-soldier background and how her crew are greatly disciplined and efficient, making them different from the city's other crime syndicates.

Rock is baffled that the murderers are somehow foolish enough go after Hotel Moscow, but Dutch clarifies that the murderers are an exceptional case of "seeds of evil" who spread disaster and death to their wildest whims. Revy adds that those type of people are full of hate but forget what they were hating and eventually begin murdering for sheer enjoyment. Answering the phone, Benny informs Rock that Balalaika requests his intellect, and the Japanese ex-salaryman tells the Russian leader that he recognizes the murderers' words as Italian and Romance language-related. Hearing Revy's banter interrupt his train of thought, Rock tells her to quiet down and suddenly notices her magazine's cover with Dracula on the front.

After Rock finishes the call, Balalaika tells Boris that the twins are Romanian, making him facepalm since he remembers hearing the language from Romanian soldiers in Kabul. Balalaika responds that she forgot too and they are merely suffering from aging, and she requests Boris to have their men bring Rowan over since he may hold the key to discovering the twins' true identities via his sales of child exploitation films. Elsewhere, the twins prepare their money and weapons and prepare to leave their safehouse. Later, Balalaika discreetly meets with Mister Chang of the Hong Kong Triad and informs him that she discovered that the murderers are two twins named "Hänsel and Gretel," which were stage names in the child exploitation videos that she got from Rowan. Once specifying that the twins were orphans of Ceaușescu's regime who were sold on the black market after Romania's state institutions collapsed, Balalaika tells Chang that she wants a just war, making Chang smile since he did not expect such language from her.

Telling himself that he does not need to consult his boss in Hong Kong, Chang agrees to help Balalaika, asking her to tell him when she makes a move so that they can strike the enemy together. Using her cell phone, Balalaika informs Boris about their new, temporary alliance with the Triad. Inside his office, Verrocchio slams his fists on the desk in anger, yelling to his men about how the twins have caused too much trouble for him and swayed from their original job to kill Balalaika. When Moretti recommends that they cut the twins loose, Verrocchio beats him up for his advice, furiously stating that his bosses back in Palermo will sack him if he makes no progress by the next cupola meeting. Anxiously interrupting Verrocchio, one of his men informs him that the twins have suddenly arrived. Entering the room, the two children coldly smile at the men.
