Calm down, two men Part 1, also called Chapter 9, is the tenth chapter of the Black Lagoon manga. It was originally released in December 2002.
Summary[]
Driving the Pontiac GTO through Roanapur, Rock tries to joke with Revy, but she predicts his punchlines and yells in frustration that she has to tag along with him for errands. Earlier at the Lagoon Company office, Dutch remarks that Benny is doing repairs on the boat while he has to do maintenance. Saying that there are errands to run, Dutch orders Rock to complete the written list and bring Revy with him, making Rock hesitate as he attempts to explain that Revy will not come along. Finishing his food, Dutch replies that it is not his problem and tells Rock that he will just have to work it out between him and Revy.
At the strip bar Jackpot, Rowan "Jackpot" Pigeons happily greets Revy and asks her if she is finally going to participate in an S&M show again. Angered, Revy rejects his offer and grabs Rock's receipt, reminding Rowan that he owes the Lagoon Company after he bought 1,500 bottles of alcohol stored in a nearby warehouse for his business. Seeing Rock's nervous expression, Rowan asks who he is and tells him that he can stop by anytime. Next, the two sailors stop at Balalaika's office to inform her about the late shipment. Fast forwarding through pornographic videos, the tired Balalaika asks why they did not call her, but Revy says that she has to ask Dutch. Turning her head, Balalaika tells the two to inform her about any updates on the late shipment, and they leave.
In the car, Rock sees that their last job is reviewing a weapons purchase at a place called the Rip-Off Church. Knocking loudly on the chapel door, Revy calls for an old woman, and Rock notices several church employees carrying clean items into a shed. Calling for Revy, Eda tells her not to enter the chapel and instead follow her. In another place, Sister Yolanda greets the two, and Revy asks if the goods arrived. Remarking that most of the weapons got to them by way of Cambodia, Yolanda clarifies that the ARWEN-37 grenade launcher did not arrive. Angrily speaking, Revy replies that the Lagoon Company needs the ARWEN. Stating that she is a good customer of the Lagoon Company, Yolanda wants a discount on the Lagoon Company's services or a better price if she is to hand over the ARWEN despite another customer needing it.
Threatening Yolanda, Revy tells the elderly woman to give them the ARWEN, but Yolanda tells her that she can bring Dutch by if she has a problem with her. Consequently, Revy and Eda quickly draw their pistols on each other, waiting for the other to fire. Breaking the tension, Rock asks Yolanda her name and correctly guesses the flavor of tea that she poured for them, impressing her. Revy orders Rock to shut up, but he quickly changes the subject and calmly informs Yolanda that he knows about the church's secret drug shipments stolen from a normal trafficking route. When Rock reminds them that Hotel Moscow and other crime syndicates have been trying to find the culprits, Yolanda answers that he is speaking purely from speculation. Adding that the church's weapons shipments also do not add up, Rock elaborates that the Lagoon Company is friendly with Hotel Moscow but does not necessarily tell them everything.
Smiling, Yolanda commends Rock's sharp mind and orders Eda to mark the ARWEN on their list. As the two women sheathe their pistols, Yolanda informs them that mass is beginning soon and the two sailors will have to leave. Yolanda tells Rock to come by anytime, whereas Revy shows her middle finger to Eda. Turning her head, Yolanda advises Revy to emulate Rock's behavior since she cannot be diplomatic by waving a gun around, but Revy tells her to mind her own business. Later at a market, Rock comes to the table with two bowls of food and recommends to Revy that she eat. Resting her head sternly, Revy says she is not hungry and asks for the car keys so that she can go back home, but Rock reminds her that he needs to come to.
Continuing to insult Rock, Revy tells him to go back to Japan, but he reminds her that she was the one who brought him to Roanapur, making her angrily joke that she regretted it. When Rock asks her if she is still angry about their conversation in the U-boat, Revy states that she thought she told him not to speak of that. Stopping his eating, Rock tells Revy that he will not apologize to her anymore, sternly repeating his unapologetic statement to a surprised Revy.
