Calm down, two men Part 2, also called Chapter 10, is the eleventh chapter of the Black Lagoon manga. It was originally released in January 2003.

Summary[]

Standing up, Rock repeats himself that he will no longer apologize to Revy. Shocked at his response, Revy's gaze then changes to a glare as she pulls her Cutlass pistol out, asking Rock what he wants written on his tombstone. Not fazed by the weapon pushed into his forehead, Rock tells her that his tombstone should state "violent fools will never learn." A gunshot is heard, but Rock had grabbed the pistol's barrel as she pulled the trigger, only grazing his head. He pushes the gun out of the way, causing the angered Revy to insult him. Grabbing her by the shirt, he tells Revy that he is not just some guy and his name is Rock.

Angrily gazing into her eyes, Rock tells her that he had been putting up with his boss's behavior back in Japan and in an ironic change of fate has to now be bossed around by her. When she mutters that he is foul-mouthed, Rock criticizes her for her hypocrisy as well as her badass persona that she puts on to cope with daily life. Pushing his hand away, Revy in turn tells him to get off his high horse, furiously proclaiming that a pampered boy like him has no idea what she has gone through in her hellish life. Although agreeing that he does not know what hell she went through, Rock also asks her how she can possibly know how he has suffered despite his higher class background, adding that everyone in life has to suffer in some way. Kicking the table, Revy states that Roanapur is not a fantasy world like the TV show that he has talked about.

When Revy states that there is no Robin Hood in their life, Rock asks her why she has not become Robin Hood instead of feeling sorry for herself. Stuttering, Revy tells him to shut up or she will kill him, and Rock casually taunts her to do so since she will chase her tail like a dog. In further rage, Revy responds that fighting and killing is all she knows for how to live her life, punching Rock in the face. Standing firm, Rock takes the punch and grabs her fist, reminding her that his bosses threw away his life without a second thought and that he would cope with his suffering with little treats and a batting cage. Commenting that his life changed when Revy brought him in, he says that she saved him and stopped his cyclic suffering, concluding that he does not want to hear her control his life the way his bosses in his previous life pushed him around.

Stepping back and scratching her head, Revy calms down and only answers that she does not know what he is talking about. She then tells him that he is a "pain in the ass," but Rock tries to angrily compromise by saying both of them are idiots. Interrupting their bickering, the Roanapur City Police point their guns at them and order them to freeze, but Revy angrily tells them to back off. Stepping forward, the unsurprised Watsap berates Revy for firing her gun without care for her surroundings since he has to report the incident that interrupts his golf plans. She reminds him that they pay him off with the "fat stacks" in envelopes and he should mind his business, but Watsap clarifies that he does not care what she does so long as her actions are out of sight. Sighing, the chief tells them that he is taking them in for paperwork on their end, which Revy agrees to.

As she sits in the back car with Rock, Revy tells Watsap not to steal their car, but Watsap replies that he does not want the heap of scrap. The cops then drive the two while Rock smokes a lighted cigarette. Revy asks Rock one more thing before they bury the hatchet, which is what side Rock is on. Calmly blowing out smoke, Rock responds that his side is his own ground and nothing else. Tired, Revy asks Rock to give her a light, confusing him, so she reminds him that his cigarette is lit. Leaning forward, the two move their cigarette ends toward one another. Looking into his eyes, Revy remarks upon their screwed-up day, with which Rock agrees.
