History[]
The Wired Red Wild Card[]
After Li Xinlin was on the run from the PLA for being setup and leaving behind a trail which put blame on the PLA, Lieutenant General Liu ordered Colonel Ma to make Xinlin disappear,[1] so Ma hired four brother assassins to track her down in Roanapur and assassinate her. On Ma's behalf, Yang went to Roanapur to meet up with three of the brothers: Montero, Rob, and Park Seung. When he first met the three, he was unsure about their capability as assassins, but Montero told him that he could just hire someone else. Pulling out a photograph of Li Xinlin in her PLA uniform, Yang showed it the the brothers and added that she would possibly be using the alias Feng Yifei or her real name, clarifying that she would not be in her soldier's uniform.
Montero remarked that it seemed too much to hire the brothers just to kill the ex-spy, but Yang responded that his team had to be absolutely sure of her death, so the three brothers agreed to take the job. Before the three brothers embarked their vehicle to start their mission, he asked them if they were truly blood-related brothers. Laughing, the three brothers joked that they were surprised he took that long to ask them, clarifying that the four of them had differing parents but were related. To no avail, Yang tried to ask the three men about their fourth brother as they sped off.[2]
After the three brothers failed to kill Xinlin in their first encounter in the car chase, they rendezvoused with Yang at a strip club to learn who it was that protected Xinlin from getting killed. Yang answered that the enemy gunslinger Revy was a member of the Lagoon Company, but he explained that the situation was not hired protection and merely an unintentional rescue. After hearing of this, Rob talked in great detail about the time that he killed and raped a woman, greatly disgusting Yang. Montero stated that they needed more compensation if Xinlin was receiving protection, but Yang replied that they only paid for the job requested but nonetheless would speak to his superiors about further pay. He then elaborated that he had people in Roanapur trying to watch for Xinlin and would inform the brothers of her presence, taking his leave.[3] When he tried to ask about their fourth brother a second time, he was awkwardly cut off by Park Seung groping a stripper on stage, so he left.[4] After Revy guided Rock and Xinlin to an internet café, one of Yang's men spotted them and quickly called Yang to inform them of Xinlin's presence at the café. Subsequently, Yang called the brothers about the location, so the brothers headed there and Yang was not heard from again.[5]
