The Clay brothers (クレイ兄弟 Kurei kyōdai) are two brothers who lead a small gang in Roanapur. When the younger of the brothers was killed, the surviving older Clay brother swore to get revenge on the murderer responsible.
Appearance[]
Whereas the younger brother's appearance is unknown, the older brother is a young man with a skinny build, pale skin, and long blond hair. He wears a black suit, black pants, a white dress shirt, and a dark-colored necktie.

When both brothers were alive, their gang in Roanapur was of small stature. As they built up their gang however, an elderly man killed the younger brother for an unknown reason. Subsequently, the older Clay brother held his younger brother's funeral at the Roanapur Public Cemetery. During the funeral as the casket was being lowered, the older brother cried out and wondered why he was killed. Falling onto his knees, he promised to avenge his slain brother. Accordingly, the surviving Clay brother put out a $50,000 bounty on the murderer Wraith, who was given that name since no one had seen his face or knew his name. Unknown to the Clay brother, Wraith had actually been watching the funeral right outside of the cemetery's perimeter. The bounty attracted the attention of all of Roanapur's bounty hunters. At first an informant, Gametsu, discovered Wraith's whereabouts but was killed before he could disclose the location to others in exchange for part of the bounty. In a short period, Wraith was discovered and chased down by several bounty hunters before being killed by Revy. In the end, the older Clay brother received Wraith's corpse and paid the promised bounty.[1]
