Crawford is an NYPD officer. An officer of the police department's 27th Precinct, he is notorious for being one of several people who abused Revy during her childhood.

Crawford is a Caucasian man with a skinny build and pale skin. He wears a dark-blue NYPD uniform and a coat that has his shield badge with his badge number (36457) and "Crawford" nametag, a collar pin of the number 41 on the left lapel, an NYPD emblem on the left sleeve, dark-colored pants, and dark-colored shoes.

When Revy was a teenager living on Mott Street in Manhattan, New York, she lived with her abusive father.[1] One day, while she was out of her house, Crawford stopped her and arrested the teenage girl for a crime she did not commit,[2] forcing the handcuffed Revy to go to the local jail. There, he pushed her into a jail cell and proceeded to severely beat her up within an inch of her life by kicking her in the head several times. Kicking Revy onto her back, he restrained and proceeded to rape her. Afterward, as a result of the violence she faced from Crawford, Revy reached her boiling point with the continuous abuse in her life and killed her father upon returning home. These events were traumatic memories for Revy, and she would unwillingly remember the incident years later after a conversation with Fabiola Iglesias about familial love.[1]
