Plot[]

Talking to Ruggles, Enrique Gasol is still hesitant about Eda's skills since she made trouble by fighting the secret police as well as the other men in her hotel room whom she tossed outside. When the boy reminds Ruggles that he initially told him that Eda would run away upon encountering danger, the relaxed agent declares that he gave up on her, but Enrique asks him if he truly does not care that Eda will take his place since he has made great money from his operation. Pausing for a bit, Ruggles confirms and answers that he has enjoyed the money but has no other choice than to accept his relocation due to orders from his boss, surprising Enrique. Furious, he angrily claims that Ruggles has used him and his brother and is then trying to toss him aside. Annoyed by his outburst, Ruggles grabs the boy by his collar and glares at him, sternly asking who he thinks he is to insult him. After being tossed back, Enrique angrily questions how he will get to the United States as a reward for their dealings. Unconcerned, Ruggles informs him that his desire to go to the U.S. would be postponed due to the former's relocation, saying that the boy will have to speak with Eda to restart his chance at becoming an American citizen.

That night, a young man calls the leader of the North Gulf Cartel, Ivan, and relays to him that Enrique is a spy for the CIA, adding that he has reported all of their deals to the U.S. and plans on flying to the U.S. with the money he stole from the cartel. Furious, Ivan guesses that Enrique wants revenge on him for killing his brother. Standing up, he proclaims that he will teach both Enrique and the CIA a lesson. Hanging up the call, the man warns Enrique that Ivan was angry, but the latter assures him that it is all right since the cartel would never attack the CIA if they were not angered. Thinking about the next step of his plan, Enrique has his friend tip off the secret police about the cartel's attack. In the secret police building, the chief recommends ignoring the anonymous tip until he suddenly remembers that the "Calamity Jane" woman is going to replace Ruggles. Not being fond of both CIA agents and their trouble, he remarks that it would be great to use the opportunity to make them both disappear. Accordingly, he proposes arranging for the two to die in an escort attack if they somehow survive the cartel's attack. Thought his subordinate reminds him that Eda had injured their men enough to send them to the hospital, the chief responds that he will talk with the military, ordering him to gather everyone who can wield a firearm.

Soon, Enrique's friend listens to the other secret police members agree that they will make Ruggles and Eda pay for playing with them like they were puppets on a string. The leading man commends Enrique's friend for the idea to take advantage of the cartel's attack to wipe out the CIA agents, and they prepare to grab their weapons. Outside the building, overhearing them, Enrique smugly smiles and leaves the area. The next day, Eda waits in her car to pick up Ruggles but is surprised to see Enrique accompanying him, feeling skeptical about all three of them being seen together. Assuring her that things will be fine, Ruggles asks her to pop the trunk to put their baggage inside. Beginning to drive them, Eda asks him why he hangs onto a large suitcase instead of keeping it in the trunk, but he merely tells her to drive and not worry about it. Hearing her comment about case agents normally being provided with essential materials at travel sites, Ruggles smirks and replies that his suitcase is the key to his future, making Enrique snicker. He smacks the boy in the head, clarifying that he does not want to be tracked by anyone.

To Eda's surprise, a couple of workers block the road to signal for traffic. Looking to her left, she is shocked to see a man with a projectile launcher. Immediately, their car is tossed onto its top from the blast. As the man prepares to fire another round, Ruggles orders his two associates to quickly get up, and the three hastily run away as their car is demolished by the second projectile. Eda angrily tells Ruggles to leave his large suitcase behind, but he affirms that he will die with it if necessary. Above them, several cartel members begin opening fire on the three. A distance away, the secret police chief sees that the fighting has begun, so he orders everyone to commence their operation. On the street, Ruggles uses his suitcase as a shield from the gunfire, with Enrique telling him and Eda to follow him. As they enter the adjacent building, Ruggles jokes to Eda that his suitcase was useful after all. On the stairs, a few armed men suddenly appear, causing all three to aim their pistols at them. Though Ruggles and Enrique fire their weapons and shoot the men, they are baffled that Eda had her gun's safety on, but they continue their escape instead of arguing.

In the nearby alleyway, the three begin shooting other cartel members, with Eda noting that some of the men were the traffic guards whom she saw earlier. Getting onto a building roof, Ruggles wonders if they are still being pursued, but the other two are on edge. As Ruggles claims that he is out of bullets and needs a cartridge, Enrique kicks Eda off the roof, but she survives the fall. Looking down at her, the boy smirks and compliments her endurance, but Eda is immediately surrounded by the men whom she beat up the other day in the hotel. Feeling tense, Ruggles demands to know why he knocked Eda off the roof. Commenting that he should know why, Enrique retorts that he is getting revenge for his brother since he had died as a result of Ruggles placing him on assignments that compromised his life. As soon as Enrique yells that he will fulfill his oath to his brother and prepares to fire, Ruggles quickly lifts up his suitcase as a shield. The boy fires several shots but is pushed onto the ground by Ruggles, who wrestles with him and responds that he will not let a brat like him kill him in such a place. To both men's surprise, several secret police officers begin shooting at them.

Meanwhile, one man pins down Eda while the leader insults her and expresses his desire to rape her. He smacks her head backward and yells that he will be sure to kill Ruggles too, but she smugly tells him that he will have to go to heaven by himself. A second later, his head is blown off by one of the secret police. Exploiting the distraction, Eda attempts to escape from the crossfire and wonders who the other party to the conflict is. Although the military man aims his rifle at her, she shoots back and kills him, warning him not to underestimate her. Nearby, Ivan and his men come across a few secret police officers. Confused and wondering who they are, Ivan tries to shoot them, but the officers shoot back, killing his men and knocking him back with several bullets. Still alive, Ivan yells in frustration and again attempts to shoot them, but the officers fire a barrage of bullets at him, killing the cartel leader.

Surviving but exhausted, Eda stumbles through an alleyway when Ruggles's dead body falls onto the ground in front of her, with his opened suitcase falling on top of him. Immediately, she shoots upward to cover herself, hitting one of the men and causing him to fall off the roof. Coming out of the stairway, Enrique runs up to Ruggles and shouted in anger that he wanted to be the one to kill him. Pointing her gun at him, Eda orders him to get up, confessing that she knows he wanted to use the firefight as an opportunity to kill them both. Despite his reminder that the war between the cartel and the secret police is still ongoing, she is not concerned, remarking that he is a crazy person to put his life on the line to fulfill a revenge whim. Telling him that he will still suffer the consequences for everything that he has put them through, Eda rhetorically asks him if he knows a way out of the area. Smiling, he merely starts to grab the dollar bills that fell out of Ruggles's suitcase. Irate, Eda asks him what he is doing and retorts that it is not the time to be doing that since they need to escape. Interrupting her, the frustrated boy notes that dead people do not need money, adding that he needs all of the money that he can get. Smirking, Eda jokes that he is rather shallow for his age. Annoyed, Enrique angrily explains that he is not saying that money is everything but rather, money is power even if it is not justice, advising her to remember that.

He then guides her onto a roof, noting that the place looks clear. At that point, the secret police leader shoots him in the chest, knocking him off the roof and surprising Eda. Looking in the secret police chief's direction while he aims his gun at her, she jokingly asks him if he needs more than a broken jaw. Hearing him joke back that he has had enough, Eda warns him that the CIA will punish him for killing her and Ruggles, but he asserts that the cartel will be blamed for the deaths. He tells her that he only killed Enrique since he had to act fast, warning her that she cannot be protected anymore despite being with the CIA. As they glare at each other, Eda suddenly jumps to the side and shoots at him, hitting him and knocking him off the roof. Catching her breath, Eda mutters that it is best to pull the trigger when someone starts bragging. Descending to the bottom of the building, she finds a small blood trail starting from where Enrique had fallen down, revealing that he had fled the scene. Smoking a cigarette, Eda derides the environment which she has to work in as a harsh place.
