Ella (エラ Era), also referred to as the monkey (猿（サル） Saru), is a large monkey who was captured by a sea captain who trafficked living things, being caged on a trafficking ship as a rare animal. She appears in the spinoff manga Dismemberment Galore! The Gore Gore Girl.

Appearance

Ella is a large primate with dark-colored fur across her limbs and back, light-colored fur across her face and chest, pupilless eyes, and sharp teeth.

After being captured, Ella was put into a cage next to other caged animals. Right next to her cage was a young unnamed girl, whom she soon bonded with. Managing to break out of her cage while the ship captain was away, Ella tore into the nearby packages of cocaine and accidentally consumed a large amount. Subsequently, the primate began to act erratically and ran through the ship, killing several crew members and even injuring the captain. When she killed the men, Ella tore apart their bodies in rage and dragged their bodies across the halls, leaving drag marks of blood on the floors as well as the walls and ceiling. At the same time, the child was scared by Ella's actions and ran away, hiding throughout the ship. Furthermore, the ship had to stop so that the crew members could subdue the primate but failed, and the ship stopped right behind the PT boat Black Lagoon. Embarking the ship, Revy and the four cleaners who accompanied her saw the drag marks, and they soon found the lone girl. Nearby, the cocaine-intoxicated Ella went near them and found the spy alone, chuckling and grinning as she stood behind him. When the spy turned around, the monkey violently hit the spy's head, killing him instantly.

Immediately, Ella ran through the hall while dragging the spy's body. Coming across the cleaners and Revy, the primate jumped forward, tensing up Revy enough to shoot at her, but Ella used the dead spy as a human shield, blocking the bullets. Roaring, Ella swung the spy's body at Revy, knocking her across the floor and into unconsciousness. Screaming again, she ran away and continued dragging the dead body, scaring Choptop, the girl, and the bandana cleaner. As Choptop talks with the girl about the relationship between her and the monkey, Ella suddenly stood in front of them, terrifying them. Coming to their rescue, Sawyer the Cleaner stood in front of her associates with her chainsaw to aid their escape. A second later upon seeing her weapon, Ella threw the spy's body at her, knocking her onto her back since she only cut through part of the body. The monkey then laughed and jumped around, with Sawyer getting up to face the monkey again. Although Sawyer tried to attack her again in another part of the ship, Ella avoided her attack and grabbed Sawyer, throwing her at the ship captain as the latter demanded the return of the child. Running toward him, Ella smacked down her fists onto the captain, killing him. The monkey briefly roared in anger when suddenly she froze in sickness, vomiting from the overdose of cocaine. She immediately fell asleep, ending the fight on peaceful terms. After Revy's group returned to Black Lagoon, Dutch called the local maritime police to pick up the girl on the trafficking ship. Sleeping off the side effects and sickness from cocaine ingestion, Ella laid on her side as the human girl stayed with her and petted her back.
