The Extra Order Company (E.O.社 E.O.-Sha), also commonly shortened to Extra Order (エクストラ・オーダー Ekusutora Ōdā) or E.O., is a large private military company in South Africa. A notorious member of the company was the E.O. Captain.

Business[]

All E.O. mercenaries wear green military outfits and are commonly seen carrying AKS-74U rifles. The company has great strength in weaponry, as the company is seen having its own battleship used to deploy a gunship helicopter with missiles. Furthermore, the company has its headquarters in Pretoria, South Africa.[1]

History[]

The earliest known areas that members of the company fought in were in various places in Africa from 1982 to 1991. According to Balalaika's intel, most E.O. mercenaries are former military soldiers. The E.O. Captain himself worked as a combat mercenary in the First Liberian Civil War, remarking that it was a boring time since most of the people that the soldiers got to shoot were children and old men.[1]

Black Lagoon[]

After Hotel Moscow hired the Lagoon Company to steal an Asahi Heavy Industrial Co. disk with information pertaining to the development of nuclear weapons, one of the Japanese managers for Asahi Industries, Kageyama, hired E.O. via an intermediary to prevent the disk from going directly to Balalaika in Roanapur. Accordingly, the E.O. Captain and many soldiers went to the Yellow Flag and immediately started killing the bar patrons in an attempt to kill the Lagoon crew. Thanks to Balalaika warning Dutch about the E.O. soldiers, the pirates were prepared and able to take cover, and Revy and Dutch managed to shoot several soldiers and push them back, successfully fleeing the bar but having to temporarily leave Roanapur.

After the chaos, one of the E.O. Captain's men, Storm, informed him that of their own troops, 16 were dead and 8 were wounded, telling the E.O. Captain that they underestimated the enemy as mere thugs. In response, the E.O. Captain sadistically stated that they finally had an enemy worth fighting instead of non-combatants in Liberia. While Balalaika directed Dutch to go to Palawan Island to deliver the disk before Extra Order's attack, Kageyama utilized Extra Order's services once more to chase the Lagoon Company, even paying for the E.O. helicopter's missiles.[1] At night, the E.O. Captain and his mate Mayer entered the helicopter in a carrier ship and flew off to track down the Lagoon crew. In the daytime, the E.O. helicopter found them and instead of immediately killing them, the E.O. Captain toyed with the Lagoon crew since he wanted to prolong the battle.[2]

In minutes, Dutch's PT boat was trapped in a channel near the port of Belawan (or Palawan Island in the manga). The helicopter crew decided to wait them out, and in the meantime Rock formulated a plan to play chicken with the E.O. Captain using a sunken ship in the channel as a ramp. Soon, the PT boat sped to the channel's mouth toward the sunken ship. In response, the E.O. mercenaries accepted their game of chicken and fired two missiles, which Rock diverted away from the boat using a flare gun. As the two sides closed in on each other, Dutch fired a torpedo when his boat got close. The torpedo successfully barged through the helicopter's windshield, directly hitting the E.O. Captain in the face and destroying the helicopter in a huge explosion, killing both him and Mayer.[3]
