Plot[]

As Revy stands off with her pistols against Balalaika and Boris, the Russian leader pins her gun against Rock and asks him what he possibly knows of the overused word justice. Telling Rock that he cannot use others to hope for others' deaths without exercising his own power, Balalaika tells him that his sense of justice reeks. She clarifies that she is not berating him and merely did not expect to hear such a word from him. Interrupting them, Revy warns that her trigger finger is itching and she does not want to shoot anyone. Balalaika only replies that all their lives are worth very little, telling Revy not to wish for a life like Rock's. Beginning to speak, Rock asks Balalaika if she should be satisfied since her victory is already certain and has nothing to lose. Rejecting his framing, Balalaika advises Rock that he should entertain the person holding the gun to him and to make a case that satisfies them, declaring that Rock has not done either.

Smiling, Rock replies that she is wrong on one count and is not asking Balalaika to spare the Washimine Group due to justice but because it is his part of his hobby to save people, making Balalaika smile and let out a laugh that unnerves both Boris and Revy. Putting away her pistol, Balalaika then advises Rock not to throw away his life again in the future. As the two Russians leave, Revy grabs Rock by his coat and berates him for almost getting himself killed, saying that she has no idea how his life got spared except by some miracle. Revy tells him that she is his gun and can protect him through the Alamo but not against a furious Balalaika. Calmly pushing away Revy's hand, Rock asks her for a favor to come with him back to his hometown.

Elsewhere, Yukio Washimine notices the lively Japanese festival and wonders if she can check it out. Although Ginji Matsuzaki warns her that they may not be able to show their faces and has not seen Kamino around, Yukio exits the car anyway, so he follows her hesitatingly. Walking past the street stalls, Yukio apologizes to Ginji for suddenly changing course, and she asks him if he will reopen a stand after their fight is over. Speaking seriously about their situation, Ginji informs her that four of their offices were raided in the past three days with eight dead and twenty in the hospital, stating that the Washimine Group is currently a third of what it used to be. Thinking silently, Yukio then proclaims that she wish the festival would go on forever, apologizing for dreaming instead of focusing on their group.

Sitting on a bench with Rock near his parents' house, Revy comments that she has always lived in dirty places while Balalaika has always seen wars, telling Rock to go and not look back. Slouching, he reminds her that he is already dead and his old self had died the day he met her. He then clarifies that he did not come back to his house to stay but to bring closure and sever his connection to his old life. As Rock claims that he finally found resolve, the kids that Revy played with some days ago recognize her and ask her to demonstrate her shooting skills on the cans again. Revy says Rock's name, and he tells her to put on a show for the kids. Pulling out her Sword Cutlass pistol and telling the kids about the gun's model, she shoots the cans with real bullets, shocking them. Standing up, the two of them leave as Revy tells the kids to go back home to their parents.
