Goat, Jihad, Rock'N Roll Part 2, also called Chapter 17, is the eighteenth chapter of the Black Lagoon manga. It was originally released in October 2003.

Summary[]

Seeing the speeding Hezbollah & NPULF boats around them, Revy smilingly tells Benny that she will make them dance hard. As she looks through the binoculars, Revy orders Rock to get her the long-range rifles so that she can pick off their enemy. When Rock calls for him, Dutch wonders why the enemy is not closing in on them, stating that he is bothered by the enemy deliberately not attacking their PT boat. Hundreds of miles away, Masahiro Takenaka orders a subordinate not to attack the enemy yet since they have to secure the plans. As he orders the man to maintain the NPULF convoy around the PT boat, Takenaka notices that his flight will take off soon, so he bids goodbye and heads to the airport.

Back on the PT boat, Revy tries shooting at the enemy but they stay out of her range, annoying her. As she and Dutch wonder what to do next, the boat next to starboard explodes, shocking them. They realize that the enemy is willing to kill them in a suicide attack, and Dutch tells Revy that he cannot maneuver through their well-planned blockade. The four Lagoon Company pirates then realize via their radar that the blockade is forcing them to cross the path of a large freighter ship in order to force them to stop. Dutch and Revy accept that they may lose, but Rock asks if they have torpedoes on board. Revy and Dutch tell him that they left them behind since they thought that they would not need them, shocking Rock. He asks if they can use an RPG to blow apart the boats, but Revy states that the opening to hit their boat engines will be greatly difficult.

Revy and Benny discuss a possible flank, and Rock is curious to hear Revy talk about the explosive Semtex. Dutch informs Rock about Semtex's similarity to C-4 with limited detonation via a signal. Getting an idea, Rock tells his crew that his new plan will "blow" away the enemy. At the airport meanwhile, Takenaka talks to another man on his cellphone and is glad to learn that the PT boat is heeding in the tanker's direction. He tells the man not to mess things up and to sink the enemy boat once they have the documents, and the man informs Takenaka that Ibraha is planning on a meeting with the NPULF leadership about future collaboration. As he hangs up the phone, a salaryman politely asks Takenaka for a cigarette light, which Takenaka calmly provides. He asks the tourist if he is Japanese, joking that he can tell by his hand movement and bowing. The tourist remarks that he is going to Phuket and thinks he recognizes Takenaka, who smiles and says that people mistake him for Yasuo Daichi all the time.

As Takenaka politely excuses himself after the salaryman apologizes, he quietly mutters that he would only be recognized on a wanted poster at a police station. In the sea, Revy lies flat on deck while the enemy reports that the PT boat is slowing down on their path against the large freighter. Rock confirms to Revy that the freighter is changing course to block them, reminding Revy to launch the explosive when they are within 200 yards of the enemy flank. Dutch proclaims that he will turn the boat hard to starboard when they are close, and Benny assures Revy that he will let her know when the boats reduce their speed. Looking ahead through the binoculars, Rock keeps track of the dwindling distance.
