Goat, Jihad, Rock'N Roll Part 3, also called Chapter 18, is the nineteenth chapter of the Black Lagoon manga. It was originally released in November 2003.

Summary[]

On the Black Lagoon as the PT boat speeds toward a freighter in their path, Rock counts down to signal Revy to launch the Semtex with her harpoon. As the NPULF and Hezbollah boats behind them continue to flank, Rock yells at Revy to fire the harpoon and also yells to Dutch to make a hard turn to starboard, surprising the pursuers. When the pursuers try to close in on them as the Black Lagoon tilts against the freighter, Rock detonates the Semtex, and the immediate explosion successfully takes out several of the enemy boats. Although there are still a few boats that survived, the flank is gone to Dutch's relief and awe for the plan. Revy asks what they will do next, and Dutch decides that the Black Lagoon will speed ahead and act as a decoy while she and Rock take the Zodiac raft to discreetly travel to the Zamboanga Coast and then head to Basilan Island from there.

That night, Masahiro Takenaka has arrived at the Abu Sayyaf camp on Basilan Island. He calls Ibraha, who is angry at his change in plans, but Takenaka reminds him that their flank plan failed but now they know where the enemy is heading to since they are most likely going to deliver the documents to the "American imperialists." Biting his teeth, Ibraha tells him not to play around since their objective is an important step in the coming jihad, warning Takenaka to be mindful. Laughing, Takenaka jokes that it is a game as is all of life, saying that they have the pass code of the enemy's getaway driver and can pose as them. When he jokes that it is party time, Ibraha furiously hangs up on him. Takenaka then asks a soldier about any checkpoints, learning that there are five of them with armored cars on the roads. Making his next move, Takenaka orders their men to scatter through the abandoned town in Isabela but not to start firefights to avoid a military alert and to escape the city in three minutes in event of a firefight.

Elsewhere that same night, Dutch puts the Zodiac raft in the water and tells Revy that he and Benny will pick her and Rock up once she informs him about the successful delivery of the documents to the CIA at the military base. Before the two leave on the boat, Dutch tells Revy about another message from Mister Chang and orders her to relay it to Rock. In Isabela on Basilan, Shenhua and Leigharch wait in their car as the latter remarks that he had too much beer. Leigharch remarks that he is only 40 and gets out some cocaine to Shenhua's annoyance, and she applies lipstick while advising Leigharch not to do drugs on the job. As he snorts some cocaine, Shenhua notices a few cars nearby, commenting that it seems suspicious. Shenhua asks if they should check if the cars are government forces or enemy terrorists, but Leigharch answers that they do not need any more trouble.

At dawn close to 6 a.m., Revy and Rock arrive at the abandoned port in Isabela. As they begin walking into the abandoned town, Revy mentions that Basilan Island has been under martial law for 2 years and the government forces and guerrilla fighters clash all day and night around many checkpoints. Suddenly, a car's engine starts, prompting Revy to prepare her Cutlass as the car speeds and stops to their side. Rolling down his car window, Takenaka smiles and asks if the Lagoon Company has four people since he only sees two sailors, but Revy sheathes her pistol and does not care about his concern. Revy asks Takenaka about the bodyguard who was supposed to accompany him, and Takenaka jokes that his partner is using the bathroom since Caucasian people drink way too much. Wanting to get the matter over with, Revy sternly asks him to stop the small talk and give them the pass phrase.

Takenaka then says the simple pass phrase to Rock's relief, and Revy smiles and shakes Takenaka's hand. Changing her happy smile to a devious grin, Revy states that Chang gave her a second pass phrase, "For I am the Lord of Mount Tai" (the god of death who passes judgment over others), specifically to trick any arrogant posers. Slowly reaching for his pistol under his dashboard, Takenaka jokes that the little girl did make a fool out of him. Immediately, Takenaka and Revy exchange gunfire as Revy orders Rock to run, but he is quickly caught by an Abu Sayyaf fighter. Occupied with Takenaka, Revy shoots at the fighter but has to take cover, allowing Takenaka to flee to her angry frustration. Nearby, Shenhua hears the gunfire between Revy and the fighters, but Leigharch is hesitant to rescue the delivery crew since he is snorting cocaine, but Shenhua reminds him that they do not get paid if they fail to bring the documents.
