Hancock (ハンコック Hankokku) was Glenn's brother who planned on becoming a police officer of the Metro-Dade Police Department. He was involved in the MDPD's asset forfeiture scheme to make an illicit profit by secretly selling seized drugs.
Appearance[]
Hancock was a young Caucasian man with a skinny build, pale skin, short light-colored hair styled with a widow's peak, and a mustache. He wore a light-colored sweater jacket, a dark-colored dress shirt, and dark-colored jeans. He carried a pistol for his primary weapon and a revolver in his shoe as a backup weapon.
Personality[]
Hancock was known by his colleagues and brother to be a kind person, even buying a birthday gift for the mother of his recently-hired colleague. Likewise, he deeply cared for his brother and did not want him to be directly involved in criminal activities.
Eda Initial Stage history[]
When his brother Glenn took part in Sommers's scheme to seize drugs and have a middleman, Percy sell the drugs and give them a cut of the revenue, Hancock volunteered to take over his brother's position in the scheme, reasoning that he did not want his brother involved in the corruption. At the same time, he wanted to become an MDPD police officer to officially help out his brother who was already an officer.[1]
MIAMI VICE[]
Because Percy hid extra drugs and money for himself, Sommers became furious with him and decided to cut him loose. Following his boss's orders, Hancock and three police officers confronted Percy at his motel room and subdued him, beating him up in the process. As they figured out what they would do with him, the men heard a ring from the doorbell, so the bearded officer let Eda enter and. Holding his gun to Percy's head, Hancock slyly asked him who the woman was, then greeting her and asking her if she was a call girl. Bursting into laughter, Percy warned Hancock not to talk to her like that because she was a CIA agent who came to rescue him. Although he was surprised at the claim for a second, Sommers advised him and the officers to calm down, not believing Percy's story because the CIA was supposedly not allowed to conduct domestic intelligence. To their confusion, they heard another ring from the doorbell, so Stokes went to answer the door but was pepper sprayed and knocked back by Amber Whinberry, Eda's partner.[2]
Amber pointed her gun at Hancock and the other men, ordering them to surrender. When Cutter attempted to shoot her, she rebuffed his attack and forced the men to take cover. As he assessed the situation, Hancock was attacked by Percy, who used the distraction to wrestle with him and steal his gun. Though he was briefly pistol-whipped with his own weapon, he was relieved when Sommers shot at Percy, who fled the room with Eda's help. Taking cover behind the motel bed, Hancock pulled out a hidden revolver from his sock and pointed it at Eda, yelling that she would not escape. Shooting back at him, the CIA agent shot him in the chest, fatally wounding him. Immediately after the women fled, the other officers were disheartened to see that he had been wounded. Putting his body on the bed, the officers wondered how they would take revenge on the women and Percy, who had already died from his wound, for attacking the Metro-Dade Police Department. Subsequently, Sommers had the local press report that Hancock was killed in the line of duty during a botched drug raid, naming the two unidentified women and Percy as suspects. Later, Hancock's body was placed in intensive care at a local hospital, where his brother was pained to see him die. Losing his last living relative, Glenn felt obligated to avenge his brother by tracking down and attempting to kill the women using Percy's known contacts and hangouts.[1]
