Haute Tension is the forty-sixth chapter of the Black Lagoon spinoff series Dismemberment Galore! The Gore Gore Girl. It was originally released on June 19, 2023.
Plot[]
Inside a blocky building, Sawyer the Cleaner comes across several dead bodies. As she examines the scene, she hears a loud thump next to her, turning around to see one person stuffed in a large sack with their legs out. Kneeling down, Sawyer decides to loosen the bag and take it off the person, who is revealed to be a muscular woman. Relieved that she can breathe easily, the woman happily thanks Sawyer for helping her, recalling that she was suddenly abducted and soon heard the sound of gunfire. Standing up, she nonchalantly notices the bodies and looks around, becoming pleased upon seeing her tennis racket cover under a dead man's arm. Wrapping it around her right shoulder, the woman bids goodbye to Sawyer.
Suddenly, one of the men lying on the ground urges Sawyer not to let the woman escape. He elaborates that her clients would have asked her to retrieve the particular item that she is now holding in addition to the corpse cleaning. Immediately, Sawyer glares at the woman and points her chainsaw at her, causing her to hold up her hands and ask what is wrong. At that point, a few cars arrive, and the tense woman notices through the window behind her several gunmen exiting the vehicles. Tying her long hair into a ponytail, the woman remarks that she is in a tight situation and laughs, licking her lips. As the gunmen begin to enter the building, the wounded man again urges Sawyer to quickly kill the person, insulting them as a witch. Laughing off the insult as terrible, the woman casually takes off her panties, much to Sawyer's bafflement and slight disgust. Smiling, the woman asks the two to let her enjoy the last minute of fun.
As soon as the men enter the room, she tilts her body back and somersaults out of the window, landing on a car roof. Looking back, she smiles at the surprised Sawyer and begins sprinting for her life. The men begin to reenter their cars to pursue the happy-go-lucky woman, and the surviving gangster yells that they cannot let her escape. He comments that she is carrying evidence of her secret work, adding that they will be done for if their bosses get involved. He urges Sawyer to come with him, so she rides along. Speeding up to the sprinting woman, the gangsters fire a barrage of bullets at her, but they all whizz past her, much to their furious confusion. Feeling exhausted but crazy, the woman continues charging ahead and laughs loudly and gleefully as she escapes again.
As he drives Sawyer, the gangster explains that the woman is known as Fortune the Procurer, a "crazy junkie" who willingly puts herself in danger by intentionally taking the most dangerous jobs every time. He adds that she survives on physical prowess and freakish luck, once more insulting her as an inhuman witch. Noting the woman's speed, he claims that she could escape yet again but proclaims that he feels Sawyer can defeat her, comparing the battle to a witch versus a witch. Looking back, Fortune then runs ahead and jumps across a small ravine, which a few cars drive right into, falling to their deaths. As she catches her breath, she immediately sees Sawyer in front of her armed with her chainsaw. Fortune locks eyes with the glaring Sawyer as she quickly improvises her escape. She jumps forward, so Sawyer thrusts her chainsaw forward but only cuts through her tennis dress, greatly taking her off guard. Looking behind her, the speechless Sawyer sees the naked Fortune wave goodbye and sprint away, escaping her pursuers and laughing heartily.
