History[]

Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise[]

Once Chaka and his street gang abducted Yukio at her house, they decided to take the injured woman to Hirano Sports Plaza. There, late at night, the gangsters took over the empty bowling alley, with Chaka having a few men guard the alley entrance while the lone desk employee kept to his business. Wanting to demoralize Yukio, the rogue gangster played a strip game with Yukio's clothing and used a bowling match for scores. When Chaka scored a strike, he jokingly asked Okazaki which piece of clothing they would disrobe from Yukio. As the game continued, some of Chaka's men thought about leaving the group since they had no direction and no plan for what to do with Yukio. Overhearing them, Chaka threw a bowling ball at one of the men, loudly warning everyone that he would kill anyone who tried to flee the group. When Yukio refused to cry or look at Chaka, he grabbed her by her uniform coat and tried to demoralize her by saying that he could sell her to a violent, perverted man who would force her to do drugs and be his sex slave.[4]

At the same time, Revy and Ginji Matsuzaki arrived at the sports plaza, ready to confront the gang and rescue Yukio per Rock's idea. Although the ex-salaryman wondered how the two of them would communicate, Revy confidently asserted that her and Ginji's bodies would coordinate once they began their attack. While Rock went to the back of the building, the two entered the front, with Revy pointing her pistol at the desk employee to dissuade him from interfering. Pushing away the three thugs guarding the door, the two glared at Chaka and saw the beaten-up Yukio, infuriating Ginji in particular. Immediately, Revy began shooting several men while Ginji cut others apart, and both of them coordinated their movements to also kill Hanada. As Chaka shot at them, he noticed a couple of his men refusing to fight them, so he shot at them instead and ordered them to show some guts. Excited about the turn of events, he grabbed Yukio and exited the bowling alley to an adjacent escalator. As he ran down, Chaka slipped on some cleaning fluid and, as he realized what it was, Rock hit him in the head with a bowling pin, knocking him out. Accordingly, he took Yukio to safety in a locker room to wait for the battle to end.

Elsewhere, after Revy finished off Okazaki, she and Ginji agreed to split up and meet in the swimming pool area, so she gleefully killed the remaining terrified gangsters. Meanwhile, Chaka escaped to another area and was frustrated, being unconcerned with his dead men. Accompanying him, one henchman was furious that he did not care about the slain men and tried to shoot his boss, but Chaka shot him first. The other two men dropped their guns and tried to flee, causing him to shoot them as well. Watching the whole thing, Revy admitted that Chaka was a true scumbag. Smirking, the latter challenged her to a duel and declared that they would draw as soon as his drinking can hit the floor. To his surprise, Revy charged and kicked him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Also stomping on his groin, she insulted him for thinking that he was worthy to challenge her, so she walked away into the swimming pool area. Following her into the area, Chaka was confronted by Ginji, so the former tried to anger him by falsely claiming that he shot Yukio. Unfazed, Ginji encouraged him to draw his revolver when he wished. Annoyed but tensed up, Chaka shot at him, but the swordsman cut the bullet in two, cut apart his firearm, severed his hands, and pushed him into the pool.[3]

In the locker room area, as Ginji finished drowning Chaka by pushing his sheath hilt against the struggling gangster, Yukio was grateful but asked Rock why he came for her. Hearing that he did not want her to be "dragged" into the criminal underworld, she calmly retorted that she willingly became the 14th head of the Washimine Group, telling him that he was her enemy. She then relayed to him the brief background on the collapse of the initial bond between the Washimine Group and the Kōsa Council, adding that she had to avenge Tsugio Bandō not only for keeping her yakuza alive, but to kill Balalaika in retaliation for Bandō's murder. Angrily confused at her willfulness to take on what he perceived as an unnecessary burden, Rock assured her that the Kōsa Council was to blame for the archaic blood descent rule and subsequent bullying. Crying, Yukio criticized him for not being in her position of powerlessness, accusing the ex-salaryman of living in a twilight of not firmly living in one world, be it a casual life or a criminal world.

Once the bowling alley massacre ended with Chaka's demise, Revy was left impressed by Ginji's bullet-cutting ability and pleaded with him to demonstrate it, but he warned her not to spoil the favor he owed her and the interpreter for helping rescue Yukio. Exiting the sports plaza, Rock left with Revy while Ginji departed with Yukio, who sternly told Rock that she did not want to see him again.[5] Later, when the Tokyo Metropolitan Police began their investigation of the bowling alley massacre, Yasuzawa believed that Hotel Moscow was possibly responsible for the shooting since the police were aware of the Russians' anti-yakuza campaign.[1]
