Ivan (イヴァン) was the leader of the North Gulf Cartel.

Appearance

Ivan was a young Hispanic man with a muscular build, tan skin, long black hair, and a short chin beard. He wore a white dress shirt, white pants, and white shoes. He used an Uzi submachine gun for a weapon.

Eda Initial Stage history

Devastating New Face

One of Ivan's close subordinates, who was Enrique Gasol's brother, had acted as an informant to the CIA agent Ruggles, giving him the routes for the cartel. When Ruggles continued putting the informant on dangerous missions, Ivan was annoyed with him and had him subdued, tossing him into a large tank of acid to kill him. Afterward, Enrique took over his older brother's position as both informant and cartel member, eventually becoming Ivan's right-hand man in half a year.

Later, when Enrique wanted to exact revenge on Ruggles for getting his brother killed, he urged his friend to call Ivan to confess that he was an American spy. At night, while resting in bed with three women, Ivan answered his phone and heard about the spy allegation, becoming furious upon learning that Enrique reported all of their deals to the United States. Gritting his teeth in anger, he correctly guessed that Enrique was trying to get revenge on him for murdering his brother. Standing up, he declared that he would teach both Enrique and the CIA a lesson. Unknown to Ivan, Enrique also tipped off the secret police in order to start a war between the North Gulf Cartel and the secret police with the intention of destroying the cartel and killing Ruggles.

The next day, he had his men surround Ruggles, Enrique and Eda's car, but they failed to kill her. As Eda escaped, Ivan and a couple of his men suddenly came face-to-face with a few secret police officers. Confused and angered, he attempted to shoot them, but the officers shot back and hit him several times across his body, knocking him back against his car. Still alive, he yelled and again tried to shoot at them, but the officers fired a barrage of bullets at him, killing the cartel leader. After the tense three-sided firefight in the city, the North Gulf Cartel's influence in the Central American country was greatly weakened.
