Jinx (ジンクス Jinkusu) is a drug dealer who works for Balalaika. He was one of several Black men attacked by Les Cinq Doigts as well as the first surviving one.
Appearance[]
Jinx is a tall, bald African man with thin facial hair and dark eyes. He wears glasses and a light-colored suit with a patterned dress shirt underneath, but he is primarily seen in a hospital gown after the attack on him.

On the night that he was attacked, Jinx was playing a card game with others when Le Majeur's crew busted into their office and pointed guns at everyone and asked him if he was La Mouche and also asked if he knew anything regarding the date September 18, 1989 in Burkina Faso. The women shot Jinx in the knee when he did not immediately answer their question and then asked more questions about African names. When Jinx could not answer that question either, the women shot everyone in the room dead except for Jinx, causing him to plead repeatedly to be spared from death. After the women discussed the topic among themselves, Le Majeur pointed her gun at him but did not shoot since Hotel Moscow showed up and drove off the French agents.[1]
Jinx survived the ordeal but became confined to a hospital bed with his knees broken, making him handicapped. Revy was asked by Mister Chang to relay the murder incidents and attack on Jinx to her fellow Lagoon Company pirates, which she did.[2] Later, she and Rock visited Jinx to listen to his account of the incident, learning about the Doigts' appearances and the details that the assassins were asking about. Admitting that he had no knowledge of what the attackers inquired about, he joked that he could not even remember his mother's birthday. When Rock thanked him for his info and hoped that he felt better, Jinx replied that he did not need his hope because his legs were useless. Hearing him ask for payback instead, Revy promised to fulfill his wish.[1]
