Gore Gore Girl history[]

Volume 9[]

In Roanapur, Kenny previously lived on the streets and frequently lacked money, only having a double Napoleon gold coin for making decisions via coin flipping. One day, a scar-faced criminal took him into his gang and had him be an enforcer, so Kenny was able to make a great deal of money. As a result, he was able to buy nam manao (Thai limeade) more often with his income. In due time, he had succeeded in being recognized by the gang's boss for his hard work, though his actions tended to always go to great violence when fighting rival gangs. Additionally, the scar-faced associate grew wary of Kenny and did not like that he was rising in the ranks. Despising his previous state of misery, Kenny decided that he would get "revenge on the world" at some point. Later on, Kenny went to a rival gang's hideout, where he flipped his coin and decided to kill all of the men present.

Not long afterward, the gang had Sawyer the Cleaner clean up the bloody aftermath. As she was doing so, Kenny's scar-faced associate arrived and was surprised at the scene, reminding him that he was only ordered to threaten the rivals, not kill them. Smirking, Kenny answered that it did not matter since they got the goods for free and would not be able to intimidate the men, reasoning that "Napoleon" told him to do it. His associate realized that he murdered the men because he still believed in his Napoleon coin, making Kenny laugh. Irked, the man warned Kenny that their other associates were wary of him and suggested that he not stand out too much while he lacked power. Responding that he would take it to heart, Kenny flipped his coin again but missed the catch and, as a result, the coin bounced onto Sawyer's cleaning mop.

As she mopped blood off of a floor grate, the coin was pushed into the grate's slit, making Kenny to scream. He angrily asked her what she did, though she showed no concern about his loss. Kenny's associate told him not to bother the cleaner, so he reluctantly accepted losing the coin, though he sternly ordered Sawyer to continue her work. Later, he walked by a juice bar and ordered a glass of nam manao. Standing next to Sawyer at the counter, Kenny asked if he had seen her before but clarified he was not flirting with her. Not recognizing her since she was covered in personal protective equipment, Kenny dropped the thought and remarked that he enjoyed the juice bar's drinks, thanking the employee and bidding goodbye to Sawyer.

Going to another building for his next job, Kenny reconvened with his associate and apologized for being late, mentioning that he was grateful to him for being taken off the streets. When he entered the building, he saw that it was a dead end and immediately heard his associate cocking his gun against his head. The scar-faced associate scoffed at his desire of wanting revenge against the world, explaining that he was betraying him because they were businessmen, not terrorists. Kenny pulled out his pistol and fired at him at the same time, but he took a bullet in the arm, forcing him to run away and trail off against a wall. As he muttered he could not trust anyone and would still get his revenge, the injured Kenny passed out, but not before seeing Sawyer look over him.

When he woke up, he discovered that he woke up on a mortuary table inside Sawyer's workplace and had his arm bandaged up. Having recovered some strength, he got up and left the building to confront his ex-associate. Kenny brought a duffel bag of explosives with him and found the scar-faced man laying in bed. Before the gangster could reach for his gun, he showed the duffel bag and threatened to ignite it. As Kenny reached for a lighter in his pocket, he felt his Napoleon coin in his hand, realizing that Sawyer had retrieved it and put it on him at her workplace. Relieved, Kenny burst into laughter, confusing his ex-associate. He flipped the coin and joked that Napoleon was letting him live, departing from the apartment. Right after he exited the building, the explosives ignited because the associate's friend brought in a cigarette which he lit and accidentally dropped onto the bag, though Kenny was not too concerned. Afterward, he began working at the juice bar and saw Sawyer visiting one day. Seeing that she wanted three glasses of lime juice, Kenny agreed to it and flipped his coin.[1]
