Gore Gore Girl history[]
Volume 6[]
In his early days as a Hong Kong police officer, Lai Faa's father was friends with Mister Chang, who was treated to breakfast and enjoyed the detective's company. Sometime later after Chang quit the police force and became a leader in the Hong Kong Triad, the detective was investigating Triad gangsters. In retaliation for his actions, five gangsters set fire to his home. He and his daughter survived, but the latter had her face burned and the man's wife was killed. Escaping with her dad, the two of them eventually settled in Roanapur, to where her father followed the gangsters. In the city, the police detective operated a goldfish stand with Lai Faa while he planned to get revenge on the gangsters. Carrying out his revenge, he left Lai Faa alone at the stand while he began to stalk the five men in town.
Once he found the five gangsters walking together, the detective hid behind a corner to catch his breath. Preparing his pistol, he shot the gangster Wan in the back of the head and ran away to lure the other criminals to him. The detective then ran behind another corner into another alleyway as he continued shooting back, though one bullet grazed his cheek. When he turned around the next corner, he grabbed a shotgun which he had placed earlier on the wall and peeked around the corner, shooting one of the gangsters. Angered, the last gangster continued chasing him and shot the detective in the back, knocking him down meters away from his goldfish stand.
Not being able to stand, Lai Faa's father glared at the criminal, who recognized the detective and realized he survived the arson. Knowing he was done for, the police officer looked toward his daughter and with his last breath ordered Lai Faa to shoot the gangster. However, before the two could shoot at each other, Shenhua threw her kukri at the gangster's head, killing him. In the end, the detective died but Mister Chang intervened in the affair to vouch for the man and allow Lai Faa to go free, with the Triad boss reasoning that he had to return the favor to the detective for buying him breakfast years ago.[1]
