Eda Initial Stage history[]
It is unknown how Miller acquired his vast collection of blackmail tapes, but he kept the shelves and content organized by having an "Index" binder in the room for reference. He was connected with several crime syndicates, allowing him to use those networks to sell his blackmail content.
Groovy Guy Russell[]
Around the time that Don Girolamo and Russell were in D.C., Miller agreed to sell a sexual blackmail tape of Senator Jack Bonham to another rival senator, putting the tape under a VIP label in his storage of videos. One day, while Miller was out with his girlfriend, Russell broke into the building hosting his vast blackmail collection. As he returned to the building, one of Miller's enforcers was fighting with Russell. Miller went to a higher floor and heard the commotion, so he headed to the blackmail room. Upon entering, he saw Russell being punched onto the floor and looking up at him. Angered, Miller immediately pulled out his pistol and shot at the fleeing cowboy, but he only managed to accidentally shoot one of his tapes on the adjacent shelves. In a hallway opposite of his point of entry, Russell ran but Miller's girlfriend spotted him and warned her boyfriend about his direction of escape. Pursuing the thief, Miller ran down the fire stairs.
To his chagrin, Russell had already crossed 14th Street which was rife with traffic. Undeterred, the blackmailer attempted to cross the street to get a clear shot but was almost hit by Amber Whinberry's jeep. Stopping in front of the car, Miller yelled at her to stay out of his way, but Eda yelled back that he was the one who ran through the street. The frustrated Miller threatened to kill her, but she scoffed at it. At that moment, Miller was shocked to see a speeding semi-truck coming at him from his right, killing him. As a result, Miller's blackmail collection was talked about in the local news, and his connections to several organized crime syndicates were revealed. Due to his death and the consequences, the U.S. senator who had commissioned Miller to give him Bonham's tape had his own bodyguards pursue Russell. After witnessing Miller's death right in front of their car, Eda, Amber and Jaden discussed culpability for the incident, with Eda opining that the blackmailer was at fault because he ran through the road and was a criminal anyway.[1]
