Plot[]

Laying on the ground, the injured Enrique watches Víbora grab Mayte, thinking to himself that his dream to build his kingdom is now broken. When Mayte screams as Víbora tries to grab her head, Enrique crawls and gets up, grabbing a sharp rock. Charging at him, the boy stabs the large man in his right thigh, forcing him to let go of Mayte. Nearby, Eda orders Jaden to engage in suppressive fire as she runs to Luciana, asking her if she is all right. As she becomes surprised to see the guerrilla profusely bleeding, Luciana softly calls out for her younger sister, urging Eda to take care of her. Tensely scoffing, Eda retorts that she needs to survive and pull through. Hearing Luciana mutter her name, she demands that she not die on her own. At the same time, Víbora overpowers Enrique and continuously punches and kicks his head and body, beating him to a pulp. Cowering, Mayte cannot watch the scene and turns away, seeing a pistol on the ground. Realizing that Enrique cannot move, Víbora smirks and declares that he will put him to sleep for good.

The large man grabs a large rock and prepares to bash him when he suddenly hears Mayte warn the "monster" to leave. Before he can throw the rock, Mayte shoots him in the right eye. She shouts through tears that she will avenge Luciana, shooting Víbora several more times in his arms as he charges at her. Being blown back by her last shot, Víbora falls into the water behind him and does not surface, worrying his accomplice Lobbe, who is forced to run because he is outnumbered and has to avoid Jaden's suppressive fire. Immediately, Eda yells at Mayte to hurry up and orders her to get Enrique. Completely shocked after shooting Víbora, the tearful Mayte only utters her sister's name. Though she admits she feels sorry for her, Eda advises her to give up on saving her. Reluctantly agreeing, Mayte asks forgiveness from Luciana as she flees with the injured Enrique and the agents. Soon, Lobbe returns to the scene of the fight to look for Víbora, calling out his name and asking if he died.

To his surprise, Víbora suddenly emerges from the water, making Lobbe admit he is impressed at his endurance. Noticing that he was shot several times in the arm and once in his right eye, he asks Víbora if he will be okay. Complimenting him as a monster, Lobbe offers to give him first aid, but Víbora adamantly rejects his help, claiming that the girl looked delicious. Feeling uneasy, Lobbe assesses that his crazy state will nonetheless be useful. The next day, Melgar's unnamed accomplice replies that Lobbe should have arrived, and his boss remarks that they cannot pass further through the route if it goes over the mountain. Though the subordinate thinks that the enemies will not be captured alive with Víbora, Melgar responds that they only need one CIA agent and the boy who acted as a point of contact alive. At that point, Lobbe calls Melgar on his radiophone, reporting that José and one guerrilla were killed, apologizing for the outcome. Hearing that Víbora is "down," Melgar asks if he has to be retired, but Lobbe explains that Víbora is only furious and determined to chase down the enemy.

Sitting on the ground, the hunter rips off his sleeve and wraps it around his head to form a makeshift eyepatch. When Lobbe says that they will continue pursuing the enemy, Víbora expresses delight. Melgar orders the driver to be on his guard and get his gear ready. As they head out, he wonders where Paula possibly went shopping because there are few stores in town. Elsewhere, inside a store, Paula uses a payphone to call someone, telling them that they are currently in ambush in Monzó near the border. She adds that Melgar told her that the enemy would come to the area, promising to report back to him later. In a forest outside of town, Jaden and Eda observe the place, with the former asking if she thinks they are getting ahead of them. Eda jokes that it seems close and proposes that they use a payphone to call for a rescue team being sent. Jaden wonders if they may actually come, to which she answers that it is a 50-50 chance, adding that their government probably does not want them to be stuck in the middle of the chaos. Suggesting that they take the chance, Eda orders him to stay behind. Before she leaves, Jaden smiles and advises her to be careful, making her confidently assert she will.

Checking in on Mayte and Enrique, Jaden asks the boy how he is feeling and tries to cheer him up by complimenting him for standing his ground against the monstrous man. Quietly accepting the compliment, Enrique hides his tears and apologizes to Mayte for not saving Luciana. Solemnly, she assures him that her death was not his fault. In town, Eda sneaks around and grabs clothing from some clothesline, using it to conceal her head. When she goes through town, Paula suddenly spots her and quickly hides. Being allowed to use a payphone in one store, Eda prepares to make a call and needs to remember the code, but she remembers Luciana's last moments and Enrique struggling in the water. Suppressing her emotions, the CIA agent makes the call. In the forest, Enrique stands up and tries walking. Surprised, Jaden sternly asks where he is going, claiming that he must rest and cannot move unless he is ordered to. Enrique reminds him that he will need a car to cross the border anyway, offering to retrieve one for the time being. He asks Mayte for his gun back and apologizes for what she had to go through, promising that he will make sure she will not have to shoot someone again. As Enrique prepares to leave, Jaden stops him and demands that they all go together.

At the shop, several cars stop outside and surround the place. Eda quickly hides as Melgar's team aims their guns at the place. He commands the American give up and surrender quietly, promising not to shoot her. Guessing that there are five or six people, Eda prepares her pistol as Melgar asks if she heard him. At that moment, Jaden speeds toward the officers as Enrique fires at them, allowing Eda to take aim as well. She instinctively hops onto the back of the truck. The two sides exchange gunfire, but the dissidents are able to speed away. Angered, Melgar orders his subordinate to prevent their escape. Also frustrated, Eda chastises Jaden for not waiting behind, but he clarifies that it was Enrique's idea. As they argue about the blame, they suddenly see Víbora block their path, realizing that he somehow lives. Undeterred, Eda proclaims that they will run him down. Pressing his hands against the car hood, Víbora vigorously attempts to push them away.
