Mel (メル Meru), also known as Brawny the Forger (ニンベン師のブローニィ Ninben-shi no Burōnyi), is an identity document forger in Roanapur.
Appearance[]
Mel is an adult man with a heavy build, pale skin, a cleft chin, and receding, neck-length light-colored hair. He wears large, blocky glasses, an eye loupe attached to a thin dark-colored headband, a light-colored, buttoned-up collared shirt with rolled-up sleeves, and dark suspenders.

When Revy felt obligated to introduce Le Majeur to places in town that were essential for her survival in the criminal world, Rock drove the two women to Mel's business. At the forgery shop, Revy called for Mel, who wondered who could be at the door. Seeing that it was Revy, he asked her if she was visiting because she had a problem with her UNHCR documents that he prepared for her the other day. Smiling, the pirate stated that the documents cleared, introducing him to Majeur and clarifying that the latter woman needed a new I.D. and passport. Thinking of a recommendation, Mel recommended an Armenian passport since it was affordable and hard to spot as a fake. When Revy wondered if Majeur could get American documents, Mel responded that American I.D.s would cost at least 4 grand for something that could pass as legitimate.
Majeur spoke up that she did not require anything fancy and then asked for Armenian, Cameroonian, and South African passports as well as an ATF gun permit and a Korean-name Don Mueang International Airport employee I.D. Summarizing that it was five items in total, Mel informed her that the ATF document would take time to forge but he could prepare the other four documents for her within the week. He concluded that the cost for all five items would be six thousand dollars, to which Majeur and Revy agreed, leaving his shop immediately afterward.[1]
