Narita International Airport (成田国際空港 Narita Kokusai Kūkō), also known by its IATA code NRT, is one of two international airports serving the Greater Tokyo Area, the other being Haneda Airport.
History[]
Shaitane Badi[]
In the first light novel Shaitane Badi, in late 1995 after Tatiana Yakovleva's plan to frame Balalaika failed, she attempted to flee Roanapur and Thailand but was captured by Boris. Subsequently, he and another man forced Tatiana to fly with them from Don Mueang International Airport to Narita International Airport. Once their plane arrived in Japan at 6 a.m., they took Tatiana into the women's bathroom at the international arrivals lobby and killed her, leaving her body in one of the stalls and stealing all of her possessions on her, including her gold teeth. Two hours later the same morning on the 7th of an unspecified month, a Narita Airport employee cleaning the women's bathroom discovered her corpse, leading to an investigation of the murder. Witnesses reported seeing Tatiana with two white men, and this news was relayed to the public. Learning about the incident, Balalaika's boss Slevinin called Hotel Moscow's Japanese branch leader Vasili Laptev to confirm the news. Scared, Latpev, who had plotted with Tatiana to take down Balalaika, called the latter woman to frantically confirm the story of Tatiana supposedly stealing her money and attempting to flee Thailand.[1]
Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise[]
In January 1996, when the Washimine Group began to fight back against Hotel Moscow in Japan, Yoshida asked his new boss Yukio Washimine if he should have his men scope out the Narita Airport to find the Russians. The latter declined, reasoning that the Russians did not plan on fleeing Japan and expected the yakuza to counterattack.[2] Sometime later, after they completed their job for Balalaika and fought with Ginji and Yukio, Revy and Rock went to Narita International Airport to leave the country. Before he boarded his flight, Rock called Dutch using a payphone in the international departures area and asked him if he was familiar with the person who said the quote about humans being like dice. Recognizing the source as Jean-Paul Sartre, Dutch mentioned that he preferred another quote about shooting the person who tried to put five eggs into three baskets. He informed the ex-salaryman that there was work waiting for him when he returned to Roanapur, clarifying that it involved shipping guns to Tsanwi in two days. Ending the call, Rock then heard Revy tell him that their flight was ready.[3]
