Needham (ニーダム Nīdamu) is an enforcer and co-founder of the Enos family alongside the late Enos I.

Appearance[]

Needham is an older Caucasian man with a large build, pale skin, and short black hair. He wears a black suit with a white dress shirt and light-colored necktie, and he carries a Ruger P85 pistol for a weapon.

Eda Initial Stage history[]

Sometime in his youth, Needham and his partner Enos I joined forces and built up the Enos crime family. They had lived in squalor but in time became wealthy and built up their crime family, eventually owning a large mansion which served as the Enos family's base. Once Enos I passed away, Enos II, not Needham, became the crime family's head.[1] The new leader fell in love with Angela, the daughter of Burt Gummer, whose woodlands property was sought out by the Enos family to build a resort. When she convinced him to steal $500,000 of his family's money, Enos II agreed and gave her the money, but she betrayed him and left the Deep South with the money.[2]

Afterward, Enos II attempted and failed to commit suicide from despair, and Needham began to despise him for losing a large amount of the family's money as well as lacking the resolve to finish Burt Gummer so that the resort investment could continue and not remain in vain. Over the next ten years, the Enos family feuded with Gummer and clashed with him on occasion. Over time, the Enos family's financial investment in the potential resort went toward failure because they had not acquired Gummer's land. Frustrated with how Enos II ruined the crime family he had built, Needham made an alliance with Crocker, the local deputy sheriff, to take down Gummer so that they could achieve their respective goals of building the resort and controlling crime in town. The former had also plotted to become the family's leader and remove Enos II from power.[1]

A Savage Place[]

While being escorted by J.J. in the latter's Mercedes-Benz, Needham saw Eda speed past him in her Jeep while showing him the middle finger, with the woman insulting them for allegedly showing off. In the Benz, the enforcer expressed his offense at the behavior, stating that the women did not appear to know what happened to those who messed with them on their territory. He suggested that J.J. teach them a lesson, to which he enthusiastically agreed, proudly shouting that he would be glad to use his car with a tuned, 370 cid V8-380 engine. Speeding up his car, J.J. rear ended them, knocking Eda and Amber forward. Needham grinned as J.J. continued to ram into them in an attempt to flip their Jeep over. When Eda swerved her car off the road, J.J. immediately turned his Mercedes around and followed them down the adjacent slope. To Needham's shock, the hill inclined upward at a steep angle, and he became terrified as the car crashed due to the Mercedes's suspension not being able to handle hilly terrain. He asked J.J. if he saw what the women looked like, and the driver responded that there was one blond and one dark-haired woman. Yelling that he would not let the women exit the state alive, Needham ordered J.J. and his other two subordinates to mobilize all of their men in order to protect the Enos family's reputation.

Accordingly, using the description of the women, Needham's men tracked down Eda and Amber at a diner, noticing their Jeep parked outside. The enforcer waited outside for his men to bring out the women, who fought several of them. Eda kicked her first attacker to the ground and sarcastically asked him if he was still going to give her payback. In front of her, Needham and his men surrounded her and displayed their firearms, with the former declaring that she was done messing with his group. Amber came out and tried to help her, but she was immediately restrained by another gangster. One man kicked Eda in the face and threatened to rape her, asking Needham if he could do so. Rejecting his desire, the enforcer ordered him to wait until they returned to their office.

Suddenly, a Ford Fairlane convertible barged through and rammed into the thug. Standing on top of his car with a gun in each hand, Burt Gummer insulted the Enos family and angrily asked them if they were messing with a young woman again. Annoyed, Needham warned him to leave because the fight was none of his business, but Gummer retorted that he could not be told what to do and shot at them, prompting the gangsters to fire back. When the men heard him run out of bullets, they prepared to kill him, but Gummer pulled out an M60E3 machine gun and began unloading on them, forcing Needham and his men to take cover. As the men hid, one of the gangsters heard the prepper claim that his daughter Angela was still alive because Gummer believed that Eda was the resurrected Angela.[3]

At the Enos family mansion, Needham and his men reconvened with the wheelchaired Enos II, who was in disbelief at Angela being alive. Pointing to the man behind him, Needham claimed that he heard Gummer shout Angela's name, surprising the boss. Nervously speaking, the enforcer tried to persuade him about her presence by saying that Gummer was the one who was certain about it, adding that he and his men would have seen her if they could. Shaking in anger upon hearing the testimony, Enos II cursed Angela for toying with his heart. Though Needham tried to console him, he ordered him to gather everyone in the organization to finally settle things with the Gummer family, deducing that the only place Angela would go to was the Gummer cabin. Accordingly, Needham hired several professional hitmen to aid in their attack, as he used Angela's presence as an excuse to convince Enos II to take on Gummer. All of the gangsters and mercenaries then traveled to an Enos family warehouse, where several men unloaded boxes of firearms while Enos II asked Needham if everything was ready.

Whispering to his boss, Needham confirmed but specified that it was tough due to time. Enos II noted the great number of unfamiliar faces, prompting Needham to explain that he figured he would hire a bunch of men since they were going to take down Gummer of all people. Looking at the hired gunmen, he assured Enos II that the various mercenaries, mafia gunmen, and former military guys were all well-known in their own right. Commending Needham for his thoroughness, Enos II then addressed the men and declared that they would finally take on their enemy of ten years. Before getting into the backseat with Enos II, Needham informed his men that their targets were Burt Gummer and his daughter Angela, encouraging them to erase them and their cabin from existence. Subsequently, J.J. drove them to the woodlands.[2]

On the outskirts of the property, one car of gangsters went ahead and were blown up by an explosive after triggering a tripwire. Whereas the remaining gangsters, Needham, Enos II and J.J. stayed outside the property. Needham called Crocker on his radio to inform him that his men were attacking the cabin, promising that he would fulfill his end of their deal. As the battle commenced with Eda and Gummer wiping out the various gangsters, Needham observed from a distance, but Enos II was impatient about the fighting and wondered what Needham's hired gunmen were doing. Assuring him that the mercenaries were professionals, the enforcer claimed that the men were just getting started. Soon, Needham informed his boss and driver that he received a call about Gummer and the others fleeing to the other side of the cabin. Getting into the car, he ordered J.J. to turn the car around so that they could hunt down their enemies. Subsequently, J.J. slammed the gas pedal and began driving onto the property.[4]

At the same time, Crocker attempted to kill Gummer, who survived a gunshot because of his bulletproof vest, and the deputy sheriff was knocked out. As the prepper cracked the mercenary's neck and killed him, J.J. spotted him, so he drove into the large man, knocking him unconscious onto the ground. Needham then tied Gummer's hands behind his back and placed him on his back on the ground. Being guided out of the car, Enos II kicked Gummer and ordered the "hulk bastard" to wake up. Silent, Needham stood next to his boss and listened to him berate Gummer for believing that Eda was his resurrected daughter. Although failing to get an answer from Gummer as to Angela's whereabouts, Enos II exclaimed that all they had to do was find Angela and get back their money. Pulling out his pistol, Needham stared down at Gummer and remarked that their long-time feud was finally over. As the wheelchaired Enos laughed about his potential revenge against Angela, Needham moved his pistol toward him and shot Enos II in the head, killing him. Laughing at his dead boss, Needham joked that the young man did not see that coming. He shouted that he would not let a good-for-nothing and gutless person like him take over the family that he built with his predecessor while they both drank scummy water.

Needham then gloated that from then on, he and Crocker would run things smoothly. Suddenly, Gummer noted that he was the mastermind all along, surprising the gangster. The prepper began to wriggle back and forth and, quickly getting up, broke free of his hand binds. As Gummer charged him and grabbed his collar and arm, Needham cursed the former's family for being the bane of his problems. To Needham's shock, Gummer lifted his whole body above his shoulders. Trying to break free, the irate gangster warned Gummer to let go of him, shooting a couple of bullets near his feet in the process. Using all of his strength, the prepper threw Needham against an adjacent tree, injuring him and knocking him unconscious. Afterward, Gummer happily cheered with victorious roars as Needham remained unconscious, and the survivalist still believed that Eda was his resurrected daughter.[1] It is unknown if Needham, surviving but with his forces diminished, is still feuding with Burt Gummer.
