Plot[]

On the Black Lagoon, Dutch banters with Benny about having Le Majeur, the same person who initially wanted to kill Dutch, on their boat. On deck in a bikini, Revy calls for Dutch and remarks that it is a pain to ask for Bren's help, and she asks Majeur if she tied the knot to the Zodiac boat correctly. Majeur shows her the correctly-tied knot, so Revy tells her to get ready to swim, and Majeur disrobes to reveal that she has a large tattoo covering her entire back and shoulders, much to the dress shirt-clad Rock's surprise. Revy and Rock both compliment the ink work, and Rock recognizes from her Japanese words that the tattoo is related to the kabuki play Aoto Zōshi Hana no Nishikie. Pointing to the large Buddha statue in the Roanapur bay, Revy kicks the Zodiac boat into the water and tells Majeur that she will have to swim from the boat to the statue for her test for their next diving job.

Beginning her test, Majeur dives into the water and begins stroking her arms toward the statue, and Rock sits in the Zodiac boat with Revy. He asks Revy what made her take a liking to Majeur, with the cigarette-lighting Revy saying that she does not know. Commenting that she has one rule in life, Revy elaborates that friends and foes are decided by fate but one should not paint a target on their back if they do not have to. Smiling, Rock responds that her answer is very sentimental, and Revy adds that their dark world of crime requires that kind of relationship where one must not uselessly make enemies and not gain doubt of everyone since it leads to death. When she states that one must take care of their friends to a certain degree, Rock compliments her attitude, saying that he pegged her for a lone wolf. As Revy speaks about the difference between trust and confidence and how she does not want to depend on anyone or have anyone depend on her, Rock replies that he relies on her and hopes that she relies on him to an extent, to which she calmly agrees that she trusts him.

At the base of the Buddha statue, Majeur finally arrives and pants while lying her back, lamenting that she still has to swim all the way back to the PT boat. Later after swimming back and getting on land, Majeur sits in the back of Benny's car and hears Revy tell her that she passed Dutch's test, relieving her. Claiming that there is a pickup job the next week, Revy also remarks that business is sporadic and they may have to offer jobs instead of accepting them. Heading to the Yellow Flag, Revy asks Majeur about the boombox that she is carrying with her, and the former assassin states that she made a mixtape since she figured that they will get tired of the car's radio. Upon Majeur happily playing the tape, Rock recognizes the song as a theme song for a drama series by Omega Tribe, and he and Majeur happily sing along to Revy's annoyance. Majeur asks Revy about her distaste for the song, and she answers with a grimace that the words are in Japanese and she cannot understand a word. Wanting to cheer her up, Majeur asks Revy to listen to the next song and plays it. Revy recognizes the song as "Easy" by the Commodores, and she begins to happily sing along with Majeur and Rock, creating a joyful atmosphere.

Soon, the three arrive at the Yellow Flag and head inside to greet Bao, with Revy ordering her usual Bacardi, Majeur ordering a Singha, and Rock ordering a Macallan 12. Slamming down a can of beer, Bao rhetorically asks if Majeur is the lucky survivor of the hunters of Black men, which Revy smilingly confirms. Although remarking that Balalaika was only feeling charitable, Bao agrees that Majeur has quite the luck. Revy says that Majeur has a hard time finding a job while she is a pawn of Hotel Moscow, asking Bao if he has any jobs for her, to which Bao says that he can always use a bouncer. Majeur agrees and clarifies that she can work if Hotel Moscow does not call for her, so Bao tells her that she can also clean up the place before opening time since his back has been killing him lately. When Majeur recommends that he changes the bar's music to something more cheerful, Bao expresses an irked face and remarks that last time he changed the music, another bar fight started.

As they continue talking, Eda, dressed in her casual outfit, walks in and leans next to Majeur, asking if she is the sole survivor of Les Cinq Doigts. Complimenting Majeur surviving the Vysotniki, Eda comments that she wish she had Majeur's luck. Glaring at Eda, Majeur tells her not to be so friendly with her, to which Eda tells Revy that her friend is not very polite. Asking Eda if she thinks she can treat her like a nobody, Majeur calmly threatens to kill Eda, who snidely tells the "slant-eye" Majeur that she can try if she likes. Consequently, both women immediately attempt to draw their pistols until Revy slams her glass onto the table, telling the two that they can settle their quarrel over drinks. Waving her hand to Bao, Revy orders him to give them several rounds. As the drinks are poured, the two women are told that whoever passes out first loses.

Seeing the drinking contest, several customers giddily shift their attention onto the contest, but Bao tells them that they have to put some money in to watch the spectacle. As several men begin betting on Eda and Majeur, Revy serves as referee and orders them to begin, and the two women swing their heads up. Turning to Rock, Bao tells the ex-salaryman that he will have to take care of the women if they pass out, with Rock agreeing in nervous anticipation.
