- In this Korean name, the family name is Park.
Park Seung (パクスン Paku Sun) was a mercenary who was the third-oldest brother of a four-brother assassin group called The Quartet. He and his brothers Montero, Rob, and the unknown brother had different parents but were all related to some overlapping degree.[1] Park's weapon of choice was an M60 machine gun which he was able to use with one arm.
Appearance and personality[]
Seung was a tall, muscular man of Korean descent. He had short dark hair, a small chin beard, and pale skin. He wore a dark tank top, camouflage-pattern pants, and light-colored combat boots. He was quite impulsive and brash, wanting to immediately kill his targets without thinking ahead. He was also quite perverted and easily aroused to the point of groping women whom he found attractive, as well as constantly using sexually violent language.
History[]
His brother Rob once claimed that his mother was a waitress.[2] According to Eda and Rico's intelligence gathering, Park Seung was a Korean-American who served in the U.S. Army until being dishonorably discharged for conduct unbecoming, joining a Korean gang in Los Angeles afterward.[3] He then joined his brothers to form a mercenary group under contract of Bren the Black Death's murder-for-hire business, although the four brothers were not residents of Roanapur.
The Wired Red Wild Card[]
After Feng Yifei became a target of the People's Liberation Army due to being framed as a traitor, Feng's superior Colonel Ma was forced to get rid of her, so he ordered Captain Yang to hire someone for the job. Since they wanted to be sure of Feng's death, Yang discreetly went to Roanapur and hired Park Seung and his brothers since they were the only assassins who were on the PLA's list of contacts in Roanapur. Park was first seen throwing up liquor during the meeting with Yang. Montero was skeptical about the job since he thought that it was unusual to hire them just to take out one person, but Park and Rob had no problem with the job, so they left to find Feng.[1]
As the brothers drove through the city, they first saw a nearby gunfight but were unconcerned. When Rob pointed out Feng shooting at Revy, Montero told the brothers that they had his permission to engage, so Rob started shooting at Feng. Rock hesitantly allowed Feng to hang onto the car as he drove off, so Montero ordered Park to use his machine gun immediately to prevent Revy locking her sights. Quickly thinking as Park riddled the car with bullets, Rock drove into an alley too small for Montero's Humvee to maneuver through, successfully escaping from Park's machine gun fire.[4]
About a day later, Park and his brothers went to Rowan's strip club to meet up with Captain Yang to find out who protected Feng from getting killed. Park was busy watching the strip show and was distracted, so only Montero and Rob listened to Yang, who briefed them about the Lagoon Company. After Yang responded that he would talk with his superiors about extra financial compensation,[5] Park jumped on stage and grabbed the stripper on stage and begged for sex, which resulted in Park being kicked out of the establishment.[6] Later, one of Yang's men spotted Feng at an internet café and called Yang to tip off the brothers. Montero hung up the phone and drove the brothers to the café, where Rob volunteered to kill Revy and Feng. Subsequently, Rob and Revy got into a shootout while Feng and Rock escaped, and Park wanted to go in and aid his brother, but Montero dissuaded him since the Roanapur City Police arrived to arrest Rob and Revy.[2]
During Rob's detainment by police, Rock and Feng learned about the four brothers' background and skills from Eda and Rico, who offered to help Rock. Soon after Rob was put in detention at the police station, Montero drove over there, where an anxious Park Seung wanted to free his brother. Montero informed him that they had to get permission from their boss Bren to negotiate their price for the bounty. Annoyed by his brother's concern for the bounty over Rob's freedom, Park insulted Montero for not liking Rob. As the two continued arguing about their mistakes in previous jobs, Montero spotted Feng entering the police station, frantically pointing her out to Park. Wanting to free his brother and kill the woman, Park prepared to enter the building, prompting Montero to advise against his next move by reasoning that he could not take on an entire police station due to the risks. Ignoring his warning, Park responded by disobeying his brother and loading his machine gun, smiling and happily proclaiming that he would not die.[7]
Accordingly, Park entered the police station armed, surprising the police officers. He ordered them to hand over Rob and Feng to him. Immediately, he then began shooting the cops, which surprised Rock and Feng as well as surprising Rob and Revy, who were in the jail cells. When Park again angrily demanded the cops to give him the Chinese woman, the deputy police chief Saensak ran to Rock and in turn demanded that he give up Feng, to which Rock advised that he free Revy from her jail cell to kill Park. Saensak begrudgingly freed the frustrated Revy, who killed Rob after leaving her cell.[8] Meanwhile, the police tried to fire an RPG at Park, but he shot the rocket before it reached him, blasting the police backwards. Revy confronted Park and poured some drink syrup onto him, also purposefully taunting him by confirming that she killed Rob, making him cry and sending him into a fit of rage. As she took cover, Park exclaimed that he would rape her as revenge.[9]
As the two exchanged gunfire, Revy taunted Park for being too slow, and his gun soon became jammed. As Park attempted to fix his machine gun and fired more bullets, she managed to shoot him in the shoulder, but the enraged Park retorted that her tiny gun would not take him down. Following her upstairs onto the second floor, Park saw that she was cornered and out of bullets, so he tried to shoot his gun but it was jammed yet again. Reminding him that the liquid she poured on him earlier easily jammed his weapon when he began firing, Revy mocked him for his shortsightedness. Unconcerned and knowing that he killed the other cops, Park ordered Revy to get on her knees or he would break them, and she got on her knees. As he smiled and threatened a second time that he would rape her, the elevator behind her opened and Revy told him that he "was the one who's getting fucked." To his angry surprise, Park was blown apart by bullets and an RG-6 grenade round.[10]
Afterward, only Park's feet remained intact while the rest of his body was blown apart into pieces across the hallway. While the police began to clean up the pieces of Park's body, Montero waited outside the police station with a sniper rifle to avenge his two brothers, but before he had a chance to shoot Feng and Rock, Eda killed him by knocking him off the rooftop with a baseball bat.[11]
