Gore Gore Girl history[]
He drives Martin around in a modified 1959 Cadillac Hearse which can fit a coffin in the back for Martin's grand entrances.
Volume 5[]
Although he was not actually seen, it is likely that Renfield was the person who drove Martin's car into the Roanapur Public Cemetery so that his master could make his grand entrance and capture Jacqueline on behalf of Picton.[1]
Volume 8[]
Sometime after meeting The Undertaker No. 2, Martin wanted to capture her again. Accordingly, Renfield drove for him so that he could abduct the woman. On the way to their residence, the chauffeur saw a cat in the road and had to make a sudden swerve to avoid hitting it. In doing so, Renfield crashed the car into a tree, dazing both him and his master. Injured but still conscious, he explained to his boss about how he avoided hitting the cat, so Martin excused him. To his surprise, Martin realized that No. 2 had escaped her confinement in the commotion. Following his boss into the adjacent forest, Renfield listened to his boss examine the area, and he was ordered to help him search for the woman. Going into town, the two men saw Lotton sitting at an outdoor dining place, so Renfield accompanied Martin and stood by as the latter inquired about No. 2's whereabouts. Noticing that the woman was hiding under the table, the timid Renfield tried to speak up, but Martin ordered him not to interrupt his conversation. Quietly backing down, the chauffeur witnessed the two men engage in a brief standoff until both No. 2 and Frederica Sawyer attacked them separately.[2]
In a later story, Renfield drove Martin back to the same dining place and waited in the car while his master hung out with Lotton. When No. 2 was abducted by Doctor Picton's men and she shouted for help as she poked her head out of a car window, Martin ordered Renfield to start the car. Subsequently, the chauffeur drove the two men to Picton's Studio, and he stayed behind while the two freelancers entered to save No. 2.[3]
