Black Lagoon history[]

Greenback Jane[]

When Janet Bhai had a bounty placed on her head by the Nuevo Laredo Cartel after she fled her containment, Eda directed her to the Ramsap Inn. While Jane went to the motel, Eda called Leroy to ask how much money she could get for giving information on Jane's whereabouts, but Leroy was not physically seen. Eda gave him the location in exchange for money, so Leroy provided the information to Russell.[2]

El Baile de la muerte / Roberta's Blood Trail[]

When Roberta made a second visit to Roanapur, Leroy was responsible for providing shelter to her as well as giving her new clothes to replace her maid outfit. He additionally got stimulant medication from Doctor Hartland to give to Roberta before she attempted to carry out her revenge. When Leroy entered Roberta's room to give her the clothes and medication, Roberta pointed a gun at him while she was having a hallucination of an apparition, terrifying him. Leroy gave her the items that she requested and asked her who was she talking to, but Roberta ignored his question.[3] Soon, after Roberta got dressed and armed, he told Roberta that Bren the Black Death's hired guns were ready to help her act as her shield.[4]

Later when Revy learned from Tou Chi about Roberta's dealings with Leroy, she paid him a visit at his office. There, Revy wanted to interrogate him, but he had no problem relaying the location where Roberta got shelter. Left out of the OVA is the full conversation, in which Leroy said that Roberta left without paying the other half of her fee.[5] In the anime, he was terrified that Revy would kill him, but she let him live since she remarked that she always found informants useful.[6] To help Roberta's assault on the Grey Fox Commando Group, Leroy also provided information about Grey Fox's location(s) to Bugsy Lance and his fellow hitmen whom Bren hired to distract Grey Fox. Unknown to the hitmen though, Leroy told them that the men hiding in the motels were only mafia thugs and not trained U.S. Army soldiers.[7]

The Wired Red Wild Card[]

When Feng Yifei decided that she would survive on her own in Roanapur, Rock recommended some places to her that she could visit for help. One of the recommendations was to see Richie Leroy for information, giving her a slip of paper to show to the informant.[8]

Light novel history[]

According to Eda in the 2nd light novel, Leroy is a religious man.[9]

Shaitane Badi[]

In the first light novel Shaitane Badi, Dutch mentioned to Balalaika that he had to see Leroy to retrieve some information, so he bid her goodbye and went to Leroy's place.[1]

Ballad of the Sinful Wizard[]

In the second light novel Ballad of the Sinful Wizard, Eda called Leroy in the middle of the night. Answering the phone quickly, Leroy asked her why she was calling so late, also asking why she did not sound the trumpets of the Apocalypse. Beginning her inquiry after brief banter, Eda asked him if he knew of any recent news about Shenhua's friend Lotton. Although she hoped that he knew nothing, Leroy stated that he had heard about Lotton's "orgy," making Eda panic briefly. Trying to calm herself down, Eda responded that she heard about a commotion at the Yellow Flag, but Leroy said that the "orgy" in question was a more recent incident of seven dead people at Sankan Palace Hotel, making Eda's heart sink. Specifying that she needed accurate info, Eda answered that she would pay him for the story's details at his usual price, so Leroy told her about how the attackers at Sankan Palace Hotel were Hokkien-speaking people allegedly from the Fujianese mafia, as well as them looking for the same "white girl" that Lotton had picked up at the Yellow Flag.

To Eda's relief, she realized that no one, including Leroy, had noticed Tricia's importance. In addition, Leroy said that Revy, Frederica Sawyer and Shenhua were helping Lotton escape the hotel, but it did not seem that Lotton had gone near Rowan's place as people had claimed about Revy's group. Being curious, Leroy asked Eda why she had her focus on Lotton of all people, and she simply answered that she beat him at poker before and he still owed her a bill. Finishing their phone call, Leroy remarked that the number of people earlier versus the number of corpses did not match up, so Eda jokingly told him that she would pay him a lot if he even captured Lotton, and she hung up.[9]
