Rowan "Jackpot" Pigeons (ローワン・"ジャックポット"・ピジョンズ Rōwan "Jakkupotto" Pijonzu), usually just called Rowan (ローワン Rōwan), is the owner and manager of the Jackpot Pigeons strip club on Rachada Street in Roanapur. Accordingly, he gets his nickname from the name of his business. Rowan is also a movie dealer who carries both legal and illegal genres (such as child exploitation films and snuff films).[1]

Appearance[]

Rowan is an adult African man with a skinny build and a large Afro. He has a circle beard and is always seen wearing gold-framed sunglasses. He has a gold earring on his left ear and wears a yellow suit with a pink dress shirt and various gold jewelry.

History[]

Calm down, two men[]

In the "Calm down, two men" arc, Rowan was sitting down with two female employees when Rock and Revy visited to inform him that his order of 1,500 bottles of alcohol from the Lagoon Company had arrived and were stored in a harbor warehouse. Laughing heartily, Rowan joked that he wished Revy would work for him again as an S&M performer at the business, also joking that the tax on the shipments was hard on him. She rebuffed him, claiming that she only visited for business reasons. Before the two pirates left, Rowan saw the awkward newcomer Rock and told him that he could stop by anytime if he was feeling down.[2]

Bloodsport Fairy tale[]

When the twins Hänsel and Gretel were wanted for murdering criminals of the various mobs in Roanapur, Balalaika wanted to ascertain their appearance after finding out from Rock that the twins were most likely Romanian. Members of Hotel Moscow then went to Jackpot Pigeons to forcibly bring Rowan with them, who was terrified of Balalaika. Soon, Rowan was forced to lend his collection of child exploitation films to Balalaika, who discovered from one of the tapes that the twins were forced to participate in snuff films created for pedophiles and eventually became bloodthirsty murderers.[1]

The Wired Red Wild Card[]

After Feng Yifei survived an assassination attempt by the Quartet, Revy brought her and Rock to Jackpot Pigeons since Rowan and his employees would be discreet about hiding Feng as well as Revy and them owing a favor to each other. In the dressing room there, Revy's favor was for Feng to be disguised.[3] While Revy was arrested after fighting one of the Quartet, Feng stayed overnight at the strip club while Rock left for a bit to ask for information from Eda and Rico. The next morning, Rowan met Feng and was disappointed that she had small breasts, telling her he could contact a surgeon to give her breast implants for cheap. Turning to Kate, Rowan asked her if her breast implants worked out, which she and Cindy enthusiastically confirmed.[4] Soon after Feng left and three of the four assassins were killed, Revy was freed from jail and reminded Rock and Feng that she needed to hurry back to Jackpot Pigeons since she promised Rowan to do the aforementioned S&M show to return the favor for giving refuge to Feng and for the strippers helping dress Feng.[5] Revy did the show and during it, she spotted and killed the last assassin, ending the Quartet and prematurely ending the show.[6]

Shaitane Badi[]

Rowan made a brief appearance in the first light novel Shaitane Badi. In the story, Rowan called the Lagoon Company office and got an answer from Rock. He told the ex-salaryman that he wanted to ask Revy about her willingness to participate in an S&M show per her request. Putting the phone on speaker, Rock let Revy talk. Excited about her outreach, the giddy Rowan listened to her ask him if the particular preparation about having a heavyset submissive man was ready. He confirmed and happily remarked that tickets were sold out despite having jacked up the prices specifically for Revy's show. When she sternly told him to only let her team take pictures, Rowan assured her that he would let her be in control, adding that he was only thinking about having a front-row seat to watch her show.[7]
