Second Lieutenant Yeyin (Chinese: 葉煐少尉; pinyin: Yè yīn shàowèi) is a soldier in the People's Liberation Army in the People's Republic of China. She serves as an assistant to Lieutenant General Liu in the 2nd Department of the PLA's General Staff Department.

Yeyin is a young Chinese woman with a skinny build, a short black bowl-haircut, pale skin, and dark eyes. She wears a Chinese PLA Second Lieutenant uniform.

The Wired Red Wild Card[]
After Li Xinlin's cyberattack on the German company Reinbach A.G. implicated the Chinese government in corporate espionage, Yeyin accompanied Lieutenant General Liu and Senior Colonel Zhang to inform Colonel Ma, Xinlin's immediate superior, about the consequences of the attack. Accordingly, Yeyin read Reinbach's report which accused the PLA of attempting to steal information from Reinbach's avionics data. When Liu cussed out Ma, Yeyin politely interrupted to finish reading the report. She elaborated that Reinbach's main server was attacked via a server of Annenheim Distributions, a front company for the PLA's GSD 2nd Department. Yeyin listened to General Liu yell at Colonel Ma since Reinbach was able to show evidence of Annenheim being a front for the PLA's 2nd Department and connect the hacking to the PLA. She then explained that Reinbach was willing to avoid going public with the news if they received monetary compensation. At that point, she continued to remain silent as Liu stated that Xinlin would have to be let go as a traitor in the mean time in order to avoid a purge from the Ministry of State Security and to avoid an international dispute. With the matter discussed, Yeyin stood at attention and saluted Liu.[1]
Later when Colonel Ma secretly called Xinlin to inform her that the PLA was going to kill her, Yeyin called out for Ma since General Liu needed him again, with Ma hanging up and accompanying Yeyin.[2] After the assassins failed to kill Xinlin in their first encounter, Yeyin stood by Lieutenant General Liu in his office as he berated Colonel Ma for hiring assassins who could not succeed or do the job quickly.[3]
