Someone to watch over me is the thirty-seventh chapter of the Black Lagoon spinoff series Dismemberment Galore! The Gore Gore Girl. It was originally released on September 16, 2022.
Plot[]
Inside a windowed apartment with other cleaners, Choptop mops blood off the floor, telling Sawyer the Cleaner that it is not the first time that they cleaned a scene in the same building. As she helps mop the place, a female cleaner sees a human-shaped imprint on the wall with a waving gesture, and Choptop interrupts her to ask her what she is doing with them since she is just a young woman and can make money in other ways. With a saddened look, she remarks that her cleaner job is more like punishment for not engaging in other methods of money-making, causing Choptop to laugh. Joking, he tells her to throw up outside if needed since there will be more aftermath to clean, and she nervously agrees. Thinking to herself, the part-timer asks why no one else has noticed the human imprint, but she decides not to question further.
Three days later, Sawyer and her crew come back to the same building, which Choptop recognizes as the same place that they just cleaned days ago. Finding it odd, he tries to tell Sawyer about it, but she only expresses a tired expression and enters the building. Inside, they see several corpses hanging from the ceiling, and Choptop notes that the floor is covered in excrement, and he also sees that the part-timer has returned to join their cleaning job once more. He asks her if she has finished her "punishment" yet, and she nervously stays silent. When he asks her if she wants to become a pro in the cleaning business, she disagrees, making Choptop laugh, and he tells her to do her best. Beginning her mopping, the part-timer notices the same human imprint as last time but does not comment on it. A bald cleaner asks if they find it strange that their job is the same building but Choptop answers that it is not good to stick one's head in the recent history.
Seeing the cleaner's curiosity, Choptop informs him that the apartment belongs to some subdivision with the exception of that room which has a different owner. While Sawyer overhears them, the cleaner then asks if someone bought it privately and rented it out, with Choptop agreeing that it is suspicious. Gaining the other cleaners' attention, they all huddle around and listen to Choptop whisper to them how the place may be a cleaning room, pointing out the cause of death all over the place. Seeing that they are talking instead of working, Sawyer loudly jabs her broom's hilt onto the floor, making Choptop apologize and the cleaners startled. Outside the apartment, a boot clad bearded man stands and stares up at the building, then beginning to walk towards it while dragging a pickaxe along the ground. Finding the part-timer with a bucket, Choptop calmly greets her again, asking her if she wants to go to dinner after their job, adding that he will treat her.
Seeing her shocked reaction, Choptop laughs and brushes it off, politely telling her to let him know if she changes her mind. Stating she has a question, Choptop agrees to listen, and she points out the wall. As he turns his head to look, they both hear a loud noise in the other room. The pickaxe man kicks down the cleaning room's door, and he claims that he knows a particular person is there. Lifting the pickaxe over his shoulder, the bearded man cries and claims that someone hides in the place every night and demands the person to stop laughing in his head. While the cleaners are angrily confused, he yells and charges near the startled Sawyer, but he instead picks against the wall to her left, attempting to break it open. Whereas one of the cleaners asks him if he is a drug addict, the part-timer wonders why he aims for that particular wall.
After the man breaks it open, the cleaners peer inside to see a religious altar with several human skulls and dozens of prayer slips hanging from the hidden room's ceiling. Two cleaners then restraint the bearded man, and Choptop looks in the room and comments that there may be a curse and points to a door inside, indicating that someone was in and out. The other two cleaners ask him if he is cleaning the new room as well, which Choptop declines, saying that the part-timer can do it. Seeing their confused expressions, Choptop points to her direction, but the two men tell him that they do not know any part-timer fitting his description, greatly confusing him. He then immediately notices the human imprint on the wall and freaks out, and the imprint whispers "you found me."
