Víbora took delight in hunting and killing people, and he was always excited to use his superhuman strength against his targets. Additionally, he rarely spoke in words and mostly roared or laughed, also having a penchant for grinning at his enemies before attempting to kill them. He was a very adamant fighter and would always continue to fight his opponents even when greatly injured, such as being unfazed despite being riddled with several bullets while charging at someone.
Eda Initial Stage history[]
Víbora was formerly a hunter under the Peruvian military's command, but the commanders deemed him insufficient for military operations. As a result, he began to work for Melgar of the Intelligence Bureau instead.[1]
Little King of The South[]
When President Duarte carried out a self-coup to illegally stay in power, he ordered Melgar to discover a connection between the U.S. CIA and the left-wing guerrillas which opposed his administration. Having already spied and recorded intelligence on the presence of Eda, Enrique Gasol and their respective associates, he deployed Víbora and several intelligence officers to track down the enemies and capture them alive. Once they arrived at the guerrillas' hideout, Víbora kicked down the door and began to sniff the air while the other officers investigated the residence. In the kitchen, the hunter found a cooking pot that was still cooling down, indicating that the enemy was just recently there. Accordingly, the group left and drove onto the roads to continue their pursuit, with Víbora staying in José and Lobbe's van. When Eda's group escaped from a pursuing military vehicle, Paula relayed the report to everyone. Melgar guessed that the enemy was heading for the mountains eastward, so they went in that direction.[2]
Later, they arrived at the aftermath of the gunfight between Eda and Celino's group, discovering both sides' damaged cars. Briefly examining the scene, Víbora discovered the enemy's trail and immediately ran up the mountain, much to his handlers' hesitancy. Nonetheless, José believed that he would be fine but agreed with Lobbe that he would likely kill the enemy. That night, as Eda's group was relaxing after setting up camp, Víbora came up to Mayte and Enrique as they were talking, pushing the boy away and grabbing the girl. He tried to run away with the girl but was confronted by Luciana, who hit him in the face with a wooden plank. Although disoriented, he grabbed Luciana's wrists as she tried to point her pistol at him. When he grabs her neck, Eda shoots at the hunter to defend her, causing Víbora to swing Luciana in her direction as a human shield. Reacting fast, he grabbed Luciana's wrist before she could stab him, twisting her left arm behind her back and breaking her limb.
He again attempted to grab Luciana's head but Enrique jumped onto his head to attack him. Not fazed by the boy's attacks, Víbora slammed Enrique on his back onto the ground and kicked him in the head. Nearby, he then noticed Luciana standing up with her knife again despite her injury, causing him to flash a grin at her. Roaring, Víbora grabbed her right wrist as she charged and broke her other arm. As her knife dropped, he caught it and shoved it into her chest, fatally wounding her. Mayte looked at her wounded sister in shock, so Víbora walked up to her to kill her.[1] He first grabbed her jacket away and then grabbed her by the hair, but Enrique thrust a sharp rock into his right thigh, causing him enough pain to let go of Mayte. In response, Víbora threw him against the ground a second time and stomped on his head several times, beating him up within an inch of his life. As he walked toward Enrique with a rock to finish him off, the terrified but infuriated Mayte grabbed a pistol near her and shot him in the right eye and the chest several times, causing him to stumble into the adjacent lake.
A short time later, Eda's group fled immediately after Víbora was incapacitated, but unknown to them, he survived. When Lobbe was looking for the hunter, he emerged from the lake, startling him. Lobbe asked if he needed first aid due to his injuries, but Víbora adamantly rejected his help and claimed that Mayte looked "delicious." The subsequent morning, Víbora went down the mountain and rested for a moment to tear off his shirt's sleeve and wrap it around his head and right eye as a makeshift bandage. After briefing Melgar on the outcome, Lobbe assured the hunter that they would continue to pursue the enemy, delighting Víbora. For the next phase of their operation, the intelligence officers planned to ambush Eda as she was in Monzó at a store. However, when Melgar and his officers surrounded the building and ordered her to surrender, Jaden and Enrique came to her rescue and drove off. On the road leaving town, Víbora stood in front of the car as it sped toward him.[3]
Enraged, the hunter pushed back against the car with all of his strength, surprising the CIA agents. Enrique tried shooting at him but was immediately disarmed by Víbora, who lunged forward and pinned him onto the cargo bed. Detecting Eda pointing her pistol at him, but the hunter kicked her gun out of her hand. Continuing his beatdown, Víbora punched Enrique several times until Eda attempted to strike him with a rod, but he grabbed it before it could hit him. Wrestling with Eda, he grinned at her as he pinned her against the back window. She urged Jaden to keep on driving as she dodged two of Víbora's punches. Although she locked her arms around one of his, he broke free and punched her in the abdomen, re-pinning her against the back window. The scared Mayte tried shooting at him, but the hunter grabbed Eda and held her in front of himself as a human shield.
Warning the "gorilla" not to use her as a shield, Eda broke free and punched him twice in the face. Angered, Víbora looked up and let out a roar, making her smirk. Crouching, she yelled for her associates to shoot him, so Mayte and Enrique jointly shot at Víbora. Being hit with several bullets, the irked hunter was determined to fight but was distracted when they shot at his feet, causing him to lose his balance and fall out of the back. To their terror, Celino and his accomplice witnessed Víbora crash into their windshield and bounce off the car, causing their vehicle to swerve off the road and off of a cliff. He laid unconscious on the road as Melgar's group sped past him, with Melgar not wanting to stop the pursuit because he knew Víbora was tough.[4]
Still alive, Víbora eventually woke up and traveled to the eastern border, where Eda's group was blocked off by the military. At that point, a CIA helicopter came to the agents' aid and launched missiles at the soldiers, killing them. Near the scene, Víbora ran up to the helicopter as it attempted to ascend with the dissidents. He jumped at the opened entryway and grabbed onto Mayte, gradually attempting to break her arms and pull her down. Although Eda attempted to shoot him, the fast Víbora once more disarmed her and jumped into the helicopter, ceasing his grip on Mayte. Taking Amber Whinberry off guard, he smacked her in the face, knocking her onto the floor. Amber counterattacked by deploying a flash bang, blinding Víbora. This gave the others the opportunity to shoot him all at once, hitting him with a hail of bullets. Still determined, he ran at Mayte at the entryway, but before he could attack her, Eda shot him in the head, incapacitating him. As the helicopter traveled over the canopy, Víbora fell a long way down out of the aircraft, killing him.[5]
