History[]

Black Lagoon[]

When a disk containing blueprints on nuclear weapons was stolen by pirates, the Asahi Heavy Industrial Co. board members gathered in their meeting room. The VP and the others demanded an explanation from Kageyama, who was in charge of the department responsible for the business trip on the Melanesia. Kageyama stated that Bougainvillea Trade Company contacted them at 4 p.m. concerning the stolen disk. Curious, the VP asked him what the company was about. Kageyama responded that the business was a front for the Russian Mafia aiming to keep their power after displacing the Chinese Mafia from Southeast Asia. He then informed the Director that the Russians' goal was likely to control the route to Southeast Asia where the barter would take place and which was used by Asahi Industries. Realizing that they were essentially being blackmailed, the VP sighed in disappointment and listened to another member claim that the Russians likely had no idea about the true contents of the disk. With a stern expression, the VP surmised that Asahi Industries would have the biggest scandal in its history if the Russians discovered the disk's true contents.

At that point, Kageyama received a report and relayed to the board that a local merchant reported that the Russians did not have control of the disk yet. Hearing Kageyama propose that they needed to prevent the Russians from receiving the disk, the VP replied that he understood, declaring that he would leave the matter into Kageyama's hands.[1] A couple of days later, when Kageyama returned to Japan, the board members reconvened and clapped in approval of the disk's return. Remarking that the amount of information leaked was inevitable, the VP added that they were prepared for such a turn, commending Kageyama for a job well done.[2]
