"Vissotoniki" may be a mispelling of the Russian term "Desan'tniki", which is a common slang substantive that designates the Russian paratroopers (officially called Vozdushno-Desantnye Voiska, Airborne Parachutist Troops). This is strongly possible, since they are said to be Balalaika's old comrades in Afghanistan, and she was in the VDV; furthermore, Balalaika herself often wears a coat with light blue insignia on the collar, uses a light blue beret and her soldiers use light blue and white striped t-shirts (the typical russian Tel'njaska): the light blue is the colour of the Airborne troops.
